Half way through… honestly it’s not as bad as many make it out to be. It has its cliches and it can be boring but watching this after boys over flowers it is waaay better. And the cast?? So many well known actors with the biggest surprise for me being hyung-sik My fave characters so far are: Kim Tan.. I do not get any slander I see, he really be doing the most for the main girl in a way that makes you go “why won’t someone do that for me” And the main girls friend (don’t remember his name), he and his girlfriend are one of the most fun aspects of the drama
On another note, the ml’s brother is suuuuper annoying..all this hostility and for what?? It is inexcusable so far And sorry to you Woobin girlies I do not see the appeal at all!!! I get that maybe he makes things more interesting for you in the story by inciting the drama… but honestly he has been nothing but mean and most offensively for me annoying… It does not make sense why he would start liking the main girl (honestly she doesn’t do much at all), I would find it way more believable if he fell for Rachel… theres legit nothing to make you wanna root for him. I’m sure he’s gonna get his redemption and become a better person.. but what I said does not change with that.
I don't understand the ending. Can someone please tell me what kind of time loop happen and who was in the time…
Hwan is the one that the voice spoke to and he went back in time and the show ended at the beginning of the time loop of him trying to save his friends. Jeha is the one that found the notebook of the person that died in the previous episodes that contains written a lot of timelines about the previous people (that included hwans and Joan’s dad and ceins mom) failed attempts in a previous time loop to save each other. It also contained information about the boys which we do not know much about the logistics of that, it is a mystery. So he was clued in some of the time looping stuff although we don’t know how much of it he actually understood. The ep ended with him committing suicide by jumping off the high platform.
So is the one in the hat hwans father?? Besides the appearance (that looks like hwan) all the other clues point to it being him. The lighter, the letters that say “memory loss” “failure”
Unpopular Opinion: I hear things like:Ji hoo was better, jihoo suited jandi, Ji hoo and jandi had a meaningful…
Did many people root for the second lead back then?? I find it very hard to believe tbh…. Yes second leads always have their supporters for being “the nice guy” and because their unrequited love makes some people feel sad and wanna root for them but this one comes nowhere near Lee Minho’s star power and he has no personality and the worst hair in the show (at least in my opinion). I much believe these people you say to be a loud minority. As to why he got so much screentime… to fill up more time and no other reason I believe
I said I wouldn’t watch this because I actively dislike the manga but my curiosity overtook me plus it is a classic and I really like the soundtrack. So far I have to say it’s ok… pretty fun actually if you take it for what it is. It probably helps that I knew what to expect going in so it’s easier to enjoy. Other thoughts: -Lee Minho is indeed the highlight and most fun part of the drama (even with that bad hair) and I say this as a non Lee Minho fan. If you find this version of him toxic you have no idea how much worse he is the manga lol -Second lead is supeeeer boring, his hair is terrible and I actively skip most of his scenes -the second couple romance is also quite interesting (dare I say more than the leads)
Edit: Just finished it and I have to say the second part of the drama (after Minho leaves for us) is so baaaad. All the silliness and goofiness and romcom aspects that is the charm of the show replaced for this dragged out boring drama. Like no one actually cares!!! We didn’t get enough of the mains being together so why would I even care if they get back together?? At this point just get married with the other girl and be done with it.
Second lead is the worst part of the show no question. It would have been so much easier to get through the end of the show without his boring ass storyline and countless pointless scenes of him comforting the main char and all their montages. I also have to say this was like the worst last minute drama plot I have ever seen being added in a kdrama… What was even that girl that came out of nowhere lol
Hwan traveled back in time he’s gonna be trying to save his friends now. The notebook jeha found belonged to…
The flashbacks are most likely from different timelines than the one we watched and I believe the man in the hat to be hwan but the whole thing still remains a mystery for the most part.
Can someone explain the ending to me? confused rn...
Hwan traveled back in time he’s gonna be trying to save his friends now. The notebook jeha found belonged to the person that died at the beach. The scholarship friends with ceins mom, jooans dads, hwans dad and him also went through a similar time travel situation and the book has written the different timelines they did in their time to try and save each other. But they ultimately failed to do so, forgot (in hwans dad case) and grew apart.
Ok so something I noticed! The fire flashbacks are not from a single timeline… in the ending of ep 5 the man in the hat is in the same place jooan is at the start of ep 4 when the fire explosion happens.
I'm familiar with BU, but if the whole drama was one of the many time loops Hwan went through, was he not aware…
There is no way he was aware throughout the show about the time travel….. maybe the fire incident parts was in another timeline… or maybe he forgot he did those things
And do you know the reason why cein's name was cein?😂 I mean why not sae-in like other korean names
The names were taken from a webtoon series that was created by hybe a few years back cause they didn’t want to use the same names as Bts (that were used in the Bts storyline)
Guys I finished the drama and I have some questions:Who killed cein's mom? Was it really a suicide or?What had…
His mother killed herself from what we saw, it is the same in the Bts story we know) This principal/mom think is first shown in th drama so we don’t know exactly what happened but I assume he assaulted her Again based on the drama they were friends in high school but then what happened and why jooans dad became like that we don’t know
He is a psycho playing mind games with Haru. He is torturing Haru in that way.Since Haru witnessed him, he expected…
Idk this whole thing is a bit…. Like I just can’t believe a psycho would do nothing for all those years (except appear in the corner of harus eye for one second) That’s too passive of him how is he even satisfied by that?? And the parents giving him money instead of getting him in jail??? Did they really trust a psychopath would do as they say?? (Apparently he did but that doesn’t change how stupid that is) … Tho I can believe the parents being that stupid and doing that…on his side it’s just not that believable to me.
What were the motives of the bad guy in haru's storyline I don't get it.... so one day he decided to kidnap and torture a kid, he saw haru and told him the "hide and seek" line, And since then he has been doing nothing bad except stalking haru from the distance??? And what did he mean about the parents, that they payed him??? And after that he turned himself in?? Why did he do that I don't get it
