I think moral of story is law itself, our moral dilemmas, and wha tis right and wrong is more complicated than believing that justice will always prevail. We already saw how xingyun settled her case and let two sexual harassment slide. For me that is my bottom line but for others there are circumstances that may prevent them. In hindsight there is different appeals to justice. Like we saw with the land dispute mr wan gave in and accepted written invoices that wasn’t official, that’s him showing moral ethics, but on flip side its true that they signed it but now demanded compensation for the fees from trader. And the judge feels that best way is to settle in peace. So in short justice/law isn’t black and white good and bad right and wrong. There’s a lot to consider.

Agree. City is very expensive. Also raising kids is very expensive (if qingzhi can’t even get a house there’s no way they can get married because they wont be ready for a kid either) that’s why many east asians the younger generation couples either don’t have kids or just one. Unlike in america/west culture where kids fend off for themself once they graduate highschool. Its normal for most asians to pay/shoulder the cost for kids school for college and weddings/home.
