that’s exactly how i feel about the ending of the series too! such wasted potential with the parallel universe plotline and they easily could have made him know so much about phu from the parallel universes, like they could have kept the part about him crushing on him since high school that was fine but fullblown stalking was not needed, but honestly it’s mame. she’s obsessed with that shit. i’m just thankful no one was SA’ed. sometimes i just sigh thinking about how much bossnoeul could do if they had a different writer for their series 😫…all that said, i enjoyed ep 1-8 a lot, so the special episode was definitely still worth it to me. personally the ending of the special episode doesn’t bother me too much. i’m still scarred after the jack and joker special episode, so in comparison, this is not bad to me at all lol. it’s ends on a positive note, it’s just not conclusive. if they made a s2 or more eps i’d be happy, but i won’t tear my hair out if it turns out that there’s no more either lol

hmm, it depends haha. it cost me like $17 canadian, which is pricy for a short movie i’m watching at home, but i don’t regret it. i was entertained. if you mostly enjoyed boy next world, then i would say it’s worth buying. if you just thought it was ok (or didn’t like it), then it’s probably not worth buying. i will say, like i hinted at in my original comment, the otherworld phu and cir don’t have a solid conclusion in the episode (it’s happy but openish. room for more for sure), so if that’s important to you, keep it in mind.

that nc scene was crazy. bossnoeul constantly outdoing themselves…like when he put his hand on his….anyway 😭overall, this was cute. i was a bit surprised by how much of stalker other world phu is…he and cir really are soulmates. i would have liked to see more from them tbh, like what happens after the kiss haha. i wish the special ep was 2 hours long instead of just one hour.

this reminds me a bit of the small indie films i’d watch a decade or so ago before thai gl and bl were popular. the acting and cinematography are good, the story feels meaningful, and although things unfold painfullllllllllllllly slow, there’s a charm that keeps me watching lol

sigh as much as i have beef with this series (mostly because of the last 2 eps), i miss it. it also made me a bossnoeul fan, so i’m itching for another show with them

i feel like this got everything but the gl romance i signed up for 😭 it’s a medical drama, it’s a thriller, a mystery, a family drama, and then like 5% romance LMAO. i think it’s good that we’re getting gl romances that explore different genres and themes but omg i feel like i’m barely seeing kliao and karan interact. i feel like technically this isn’t a bad show overall. i just think the contrast between how strong the show started and how it’s going now is making me more disappointed than i would have been otherwise if that makes sense.

this looks really good! similar to something i’d watch that isn’t gl/bl. i hope gmmtv is able to follow thru because sometimes they make excellent pilots but the show turns out kinda meh

i really don’t understand the obsession with adding singing scenes in BL. is it part of the fucking regulations to make a BL or something, like sponsors won’t invest if someone doesn’t awkwardly burst into song lol?

same, i was waiting for him to mention it in the video confession too. they made parallel universes being real an afterthought in this episode, i don’t understand why.

hmm the last episode was meh for me. maybe i’m heartless but cir’s confession video was not doing it for me. i was more creeped out than touched, and i burst out laughing when he started singing. the parallel universe actually being real didn’t play a big enough part in their reunion for me idk, felt like a waste of one of the most interesting plot twists i’ve watched in a bl. and, as someone else pointed out, phu apologizing to cir was insane and crying that it wasn’t cir’s fault for stalking him like huh?

also can cir’s mom just mysteriously fall down the stairs? i’m over her. i found the “resolution” icky.

realistically this would have ended with a restraining order but you know what dating these days sucks so bad if a beautiful woman came to my door saying she was my gf and lying that she was from a parallel universe i might just say fuck it and go with it.

overall, i still like this series bcs of the mystery of it all, the chemistry, and i’m ngl some of the best nc scenes i’ve ever seen. i don’t watch shows for that and don’t need them, but i appreciate a well done sex scene what can i say, especially when i feel like it actually adds to the story. i’m looking forward to the special ep.

the beginning of ep 9 when cir returns to his body after phu makes the grand confession in the middle of the street saying he loves cir and tells him goodbye bcs he thinks he’s gone forever, but then cir comes back and tells phu not to leave him while crying and stuff lol
