Title Dear Ex
Hahah. I always feel bad for the woman when her husband and whole married life was a sham. I do understand the…
Wow... With all due respect, @Eagle & @Jessica Brown both these comments kind of show how people are so far removed from the struggles of queer people in the real world, especially in Asian countries. I think when you speak on an issue you aren't personally familiar with or haven't gone through, then it's best not to call someone a "douchebag" for the choices they made. Yes, it's an unfortunate situation, but before commenting, maybe think to yourself "Am I an Asian homosexual person who grew up in Asia, and hence am qualified to make sweeping statements about this particular situation?" If the answer is no, then it's best not to comment on matters of minorities in Asian countries from a position of privilege. This is a fictional character so calling him names won't hurt him, but this is an extremely cruel & unjust reality that many homosexual people are living with on a daily basis & I hope you'll be more empathetic in the future & refrain from saying such things.

Title Not Me
Ok, I've seen a number of comments from viewers that they find Sean and White falling in love with each other…
Agreed! Like you could see Sean was immediately attracted to White from their very first interaction. Not Me is a series where you have to pay attention, since it's not a show that will spoon feed you every thing & give you cheesy scenes to squeal over. Sometimes subtle actions or conversations reveal much more about what a person is feeling. We also need to take into account that for Sean, this was still the stoic Black who he suddenly started feeling attracted to. He was having an internal war with himself to figure his feelings out. There are several scenes where we see how White affects Sean deeply. Their love grows with emotional intimacy rather than physical intimacy like in most other BLs, which means you need to have some form of emotional maturity to understand it. I think a younger audience would probably not be able to pick up on that.

Oh okay! Thanks for letting me know. I'll give FUTS a shot. Also, I agree that BBS & ATOTS are overall not bad (by BL standards cuz some BLs really give me brain damage). I just think that since I've been watching Thai BLs since the first ever BL was released, it just takes a lot more for me to get into a show. It's like when you've seen too much of something, you start seeing through things and getting more critical. That definitely doesn't take away from the fact that 1000 starts & BBS are great improvements from previous Thai BLs & a step in the right direction.

Ahhh probably. Everyone in my circle of friends knew about BBS. Of course gmmtv can do a better job at promoting all their series. Hopefully the next OhmNanon will get a satisfactory promotion since they're quite popular.

Although O couldn't get into BBS, that just my personal preference. A show is successful as long as the majority of the people like it & BBS was able to achieve it. There'll always be people who might not like it, which also completely fine. It doesn't take away anything from show for people who loved it. I just explained my perspective of why I didn't enjoy it since we were discussing, but different people look for different things in a show & that's okay too. My point is that I wasn't trying to offend anyone who liked it & I apologize if I did, that was definitely not my intention. Different strokes for different folks

@Likai @Angelika I'm kinda on a similar boat. I dropped BBS midway because I didn't like various aspects of it. The editing wasn't very good (which is my pet peeve), they had like 5 locations, so there was basically no cinematography, the direction was quite awkward at certain places & the script was pretty mediocre & sometimes it got a bit too ridiculous for me to take it seriously. I basically had to skip the product placements because it was so obvious & unnatural that it made me cringe. The actors in the supporting roles weren't that good as well. However, they took a cliché trope & improvised it. I also appreciate the way they poked fun at problematic things in BL dramas/fetishisization in BL dramas. I also liked that it was a really healthy relationship, which in itself is a win. Honestly, to me, OhmNanon basically carried the entire show on their backs with their chemistry. Nanon is definitely up there with Gun in terms of one of the best actors in BLs. I know for a fact that OhmNanon are gonna get picked for more series so I hope they don't go for something mediocre and forgettable, but instead pick up a great project that can utilise their full acting potential.

I actually dropped both Bad Buddy & 1000 stars midway because I couldn't get into them 😭 I liked tne chemistry of the leads but the plot couldn't keep me engaged, but that doesn't mean they're bad shows, they just weren't my thing. I haven't watched enchante or fish upon a sky so can't comment on that. However, I do agree that Not Me is definitely one of the best Thai BLs till date.

The biggest mistake GMM did with Not Me was geo-blocking it in Philippines, Japan and Thailand. These countries,…
PREACH QUEEN! I can't fathom why it was geo blocked, unless it violated any regulations from those countries (which I don't think they did. So, I really don't know what gmmtv was thinking).
It's alos crazy how every other BL was being promoted on OffGun shows as you mentioned (including safe house) but everyone pretended like Not Me didn't even exist like...??? I seriously don't know what was going on, like make it make sense? Why would gmmtv sabotage Not Me like that?? I kinda feel like gmmtv had some sort of beef with someone in the Not Me team or some sort of internal politics was going on and decided to show Not Me the middle finger, because I can't think of any other plausible reason... I'm just making conspiracy theories at this point to try and figure it out.

BBS is definitely better than a lot of previous Thai BLs, but I wouldn't say BBS wasn't promoted. They did various interviews, fan meetings and even promoted on other popular shows on a regular basis. BBS had a lot of hype even before the series aired.

Title Not Me
I specifically made this account to rant about how underrated this drama is and how mad I am at gmmtv for not promoting this. It legit set the bar so high for future BLs. I'm not saying it was perfect in all aspects, but it was a class apart from every other Thai BL I've watched till date. It kinda makes me frustrated that Not Me didn't reach the same popularity as some other BLs. I think Not Me deserves so much more love and recognition. I don't want to compare it to other shows and start drama, but Not Me is a class apart from any other Thai BLs till date, whether it's acting, direction, editing, cinematography or bgm. Although there are some things in the script and plot that can be improved, but overall it's a great step in the right direction. It's the kind of show I can recommend to even people who aren't fans of BL, because it has so much more to offer than just "yaoi". I actually think putting Not Me in the BL box is restrictive, which is something I can say about very few bxb dramas out there. I can't think of any other Thai BL that comes even close (ITSAY does a good job with cinematography too). I'm usually not a fan of a second season, but this show definitely has potential for another season if done correctly. I can't believe gmmtv made such a good show & then forgot about it. They didn't even put the bare minimum effort to promote it properly, which is such a shame. My main concern is that other BL productions might feel that a show like Not Me doesn't have enough demand in the market and go back to making shows with the same old overused tropes :/
Also, I just hope that all the actors & people involved in the making of this series know that they did an excellent job and feel motivated to pick more BL projects that up the game.

PS. GMMTV treating Not Me like the ignored middle child has pissed me off so much. Not Me has taught me that if the system doesn't support you then gather a group of like minded people and commit arson 😂 So, who's willing to join me so that we can burn down the gmmtv building?
