Beautiful! Every element of this drama is so stunning! (Except for the ending)

Ep 1 to Ep 6: I am not one to watch republic era dramas because for some reason I thought the clothes and styles were not all that, but boy was I wrong. They did such a wonderful job with the costumes, the hair, the set, and everything. Everything looked freaking great! It has also been a while since I have watched a vampire drama and man Gao Wei Guang happens to be one of the best castings for a vampire. He looks stunning. We have another horrible mom to add to the list of never endings horrible mothers in cdramas. These kind of mothers make me livid. Here's to hoping that she gets some of her own medicine. Li Ying Liang is not only a thug but he is so psychotic! He is an accident waiting to happen.

Ep 7 to Ep 10: Good thing the mom's out of the picture. Don't want to waste anymore time thinking about her. Looking at Ying Liang, it feels like he is gonna come undone any minute now. So far the relationship between the two leads is nice, I wouldn't have minded if there wasn't any romance in it, it is still a decent drama to watch so far. Especially when the Vampire, the doctor, and Mi Lan are in the room. But if they do end up together it wouldn't be so bad either. I am so over Li Ying Liang and his buddies trying going gaga over Shen Zhi Heng. Yay, we captured a live one. To what? Experiment. Idiots. Powerful captive escape and it always ends in bloodbath. With Shen's passive character he might not be into getting his own back, it feels like he and Ying Liang might end up being buddies by the end of it. Because no matter how much Ying Liang enjoys the thrill he is a pawn .

Ep 11 and Ep 12: Okie so Ying Liang is pretty much a giant ball of hate that doesn't care about anything else but revenge so far. I'm intrigued, but hope that Ying Liang acts a little more mature. Shen is being super carefree about his capture, I wonder how he is going to get out of this mess. Right now, I wonder if any of them are going to die by the end of it. It could be either Yin Liang or Situ Wei Lian since they seem to be competing for the same woman's affection. Or it could go the other way and they might kill off either our vampire or Mi Lan.

Ep 13 to Ep 15: Oh wow, so we got vampire brothers now. That was such a good twist, I never thought Wei Lan would be a vampire though, for a moment there in the last few episodes I wondered if Ying Liang was the brother. Shen is a complicated person, shouldn't he be happy that he has finally found his brother, now he wants to cut ties. I like Wei Lan and I hope they make up! Whoa there, I thought they killed off Mi Lan for a second, but then the vampire thing existed so kinda wasn't that surprised. I don't know what to think of Ying Liang's character, he seems to feel strongly about having killed Mi Lan by accident but that didn't deter him from charging on and trying to kill Shen later. Even later, he was more worried about Shen killing him than gutted about Mi Lan's death.

Ep 16 and Ep 17: The actors are good. Ryan Ren is doing a terrific job as Ying Liang, giving us all the crazies we can accept and more. The others are just as great. I forgot that it has only 24 episodes and I don't want to see it end. It will be predictable now, them dealing with the Mu Li Hua and her cronies.

Ep 18 to Ep 23: Everything was going well till episode 23, I mean it was the norm for the drama we have been watching so far. Yin Liang was being his natural self and I have come to like his character for all his weaknesses. I liked it when he got together with Jin Jing Xue and for a moment I thought that maybe he would return to her like he said. But his plans were always poorly thought out, delusional, and weak. So, I pretty much thought that this was the last time she would be seeing him. It was always easy to see that he liked her but knew that he was a shitshow of a person and therefore tried his best to stay away. At the same time, we have Situ Wei Lan, although he doesn't seem to understand love, he doesn't begrudge her the love she has for Ying Liang. He grows to love her and has been good to he since the beginning, but their relationship feels more like friendship. Maybe there will be a future when they grow closer.

Ep 24: Everything about the ending was poorly done. The visuals that I was so impressed with in the beginning were nowhere to be seen. They were very lacking in this last arc of the drama. I am not a fan of sad endings but I like dramas that focus on doing them well. (One and Only did a marvelous job at a sad ending) The episode was so messy, Ying Liang ends was like that of dinosaurs, there one moment, gone the next! Such a waste.

I'm gonna pretend that episode 24 doesn't happen and this novel ending will be real thing for me: https://mydramalist.com/discussions/ru-yue/128589-novel-ending-if-you-re-curious

Love the leads, the plot had potential but then turned out pretty senseless.

I have been fan of Zhou Ye since I first saw her act in Scent of time, the story just fit her so well. Her character seemed so tragic and she did such a wonderful job. I have also seen some of Lin Yi's dramas and he is also very good, so their interactions were fun to watch visually.

Initially, I liked the concept where he didn't know that he rejected the girl he was crushing on (online crush). But MLs character seemed pretty idiotic for not putting things together before she came out and admitted it. There were far too many similarities, including her mary sue act that she put on his saying. Even the FL took her sweet time figuring it out. That whole thing was just handled poorly and had me rolling my eyes, would have been better if things hadn't been so obvious.

Coming to the romance part, the ML was just too rude in his rejection. We don't owe anything to a person who likes us but at least the courtesy to not humiliate them. The FL did something very brave in front of all the students knowing that she might be rejected, the least he could have done was gentled his tone a little.

I'm glad that FL is not a doormat, it was fun to see her try to move on and not cling to someone who had rejected her so brutally. He later on tried to make up for it and I was onboard the make plan but his confession to her only came after she tracked him down when he had disappeared.

The supporting characters are kind of okay. Chen Xin Yi is cutie and I just feel like she could do much better than Jiang Jun Nan, who hadn't really noticed her ever.

I have only completed 20 episodes and I'm not sure, I want to finish the show.

Not bad, but not good. It was a okay drama with underutilized cast.

Ep 1: The leads first meeting was anything but romantic. Kinda reminds me of the lead from the drama "Love with flaws" & "Mad for each other". The FL calls the ML poopy pants, because their first encounter was when they were stuck in a lift and the ML had flatulence. It was embarrassing to watch, so skipped most of that elevator scene. I admit that parts of it were funny, but this is not a good start for the drama. So far, it seems more like a childish prank show rather than a well put together drama. And what the hell is wrong with everyone, his co-worker was the one who had an affair, so why are all of them hell bent on him taking the blame? Make it make sense!

Oh thank god for the last 15 minutes of the show, otherwise this drama would have been put on hold forever. Even still, it could have been so much better. But like I said, it did have a quite a few funny scenes. So, hopefully, there will be more of that in the next episode. I'll keep watching for that.

Ep 2: Nothing much to add. Things are still going slow even thought it is a short drama. The story and the setup would have been more suited for a longer daily drama. At least we see some interaction between the leads. There's something that's keeping me from dropping the drama but I'm not very moved by the way things are going.

Ep 3: Kept up with the same pace as episode 2. Things are moving too slowly. I wanted to hear the ML curse out the guy who kept him hanging for the position. However, he just whispered those curses in his ears. The thing I liked the best is the gradual growth of chemistry between the two leads. The SML seems more interesting at this point, I wonder why they broke up. (From their current dynamics it seems like it was pretty much his fault)

Ep 4: The leads have started taking interest in each other. So, I'm kinda okay with the romance part of the drama so far. The next week's preview looks promising at least. I wonder what's up with the little kid, who shows up now and then to motivate Ki Baek. The most relatable part about the series is the work environment both Ki Baek and Woo Joo have to deal with. When you are position at the top, everyone either envies you or tries to pretend that you didn't deserve it. They talk shit about you behind your back, and never apologize if they are caught doing it. They usually double down. While some have the luxury to quit such toxic places, some just have keep working and turning a blind eye becoming one with such systems. Anyways, finally, looking forward to the next weeks episodes.

Ep 5 & Ep 6: This was fun to watch. The FL is writer of the variety show, for a variety show creator, her & the team are very bad at planning. It has very few people with not enough power to pull in the ratings. Right now, Ki baek is like a polar bear that actually found its way amongst penguins. (Got to learn that fun fact today) But at least this episode was interesting to watch. Looking forward to the next one. Episode 6 was pretty much the same, the contestant on the show discovering each other. One thing that was revealed was that even in school both the ML & SML had same tastes in woman. Ki Baek clearly rejected his first love in this episode, I'm not sure why he next week's preview shows that he chose her instead of FL.

Ep 7: One moment Ki Baek was confessing his feelings for the FL and other he was choosing his first love, albeit only on the show and she blackmailed him. The variety show ended with the FL not choosing anyone. The FL and her ex didn't really have a heart to heart that would make up for the tension between the two, so a lost opportunity there. We get a short time skip to one month later when he finally tells her why he didn't choose her. It is kinda meh at the moment.

Ep 8: Man the woman who turned out to be the first love of all male contestants is nasty. I mean not only did she make such a bitchy move but had the guts to double down when called out on her shit. Nope. Met women like her in real life and they are not anyone's friends. I think it is about time Jung Heon starts getting over Woo Joo. It is finally the start of the relationship between the leads and its beautiful to watch.

Ep 9: It was a nice episode with Jung Heon & Ki Baek bonding over past memories. I like how Jung Heon is being a nice guy despite him having feelings for Woo Joo. Ki Baek is such a cutie, calling her pretty all the time. Woo Joo must feel so good to be appreciated genuinely like this, especially since everything else is falling apart for her. Her career has always been on the rocks, now her mom might have shown up.

Ep 10: Things are looking up for the couple, but with only 2 episodes left you can't say anything for the certain. Jung Heon is still miserable living as a star and I think it is absolutely getting to him. He looks so tired and listless. Ki Baek's family is a bit weird, I don't understand how he fits in with them. His father is a little better than the rest of them. We are still to see how Woo Joo deals with her biological mom.

Ep 11 & 12: The drama is sadly underutilized the cast. The story wasn't interesting enough, had it not been for the chemistry between the three leads, it would have been more of flop. My brother also watched the drama, he liked it so maybe it is about tastes. At times the drama had similar undertones as Call It Love, but it failed to match the feelings elicited by that drama.

Avoid watching 32-35 and save yourself some disappointment

Up to episode 32, everything was going fine even with the crazy repetitive tantrums thrown by Qiao Xin. And then Fu Mi Ya enters the picture again, not necessary to the plot at all. What were the writers thinking? So many good dramas' out there spoiled with such poorly written endings. (It is the curse of poor endings with these dramas) At least include something that would make sense, there should be a flow of things.

So, when the Miya shows up yet again the ML completely forgets about the FL. When your friend is sick you sure go take care of them for a while but don't setup house there my dude! What's more the ML did pretty well before ep 32, he seemed like such a poor partner for FL by the end of the show.

The worst part was ML was aware of how much the female lead was hurting because he was neglectful and he chose not to rectify it, even though he was quite capable of doing so. She wasn't a priority. Her dreams weren't a priority.

0 rewatch value.

I had so much fun watching this! Things just go boom when the leads meet.

Ep 1: I have realized that Lovely Runner set the bar too high for all the romcom's to come, so I can't help but compare everything that comes out to it. However, I can't deny that I laughed a lot throughout the first episode. I was looking forward to the show, ever since I heard about it. The ML is the real draw, the FL doesn't look so good with those bangs, however her character is actually funny to watch. Honestly, at this point, her sister who eats her feelings is more relatable. I can't yet figure out what kind of a person the ML is but he is fun to watch. Bubbles are such a good substitute to cigarettes. Let's see if he actually sues her for murder.

Ep 2: Oh wow! Since the moment they first met, they have been going at each other and it is so fun to watch! The verbal match is amazing. The first 10 minute of the show so far are so hilarious, I just had to pause and write it all down so I don't forget things as I go. It was interesting and kept me engaged throughout the whole episode. I like watching dramas like this, especially while eating food, it makes me appreciate and enjoy the food more. For a moment there, I had forgotten the drama description that said the ML has a gf and she hasn't broken up with him yet. I kept thinking maybe she was an ex. But she is not just a gf but a fiancé. That was fun to watch!

Ep 3: Okaayyy. Fair warning, don't watch it on loudspeaker with your family around you. They make very explicit noises that make you feel like your family caught you watching a kissing scene on TV. I have my earphones on now so it is safe to watch. I got to laugh a little less compared to the last episode but it was still a fun one. They are all so silly, our FL's friend adds to the nuisance, making it more interesting.

Ep 4: Half of the time it feels like you are watching looney tunes, the scenes are so cartoonish and that's exactly what the show is all about. It brings back some of those funny cartoon memories patching it together with a comedic parody of Cinderella. You discover that her step sisters aren't that bad and her step mom is actually pretty decent, but all of them are just a little bit crazy in their own way, expect for the older sister. She seems rock solid so far. I wonder if the new guy they introduced in the episode just wants to take advantage of her because he is being too obvious about it. Well I was right, poor Cindy.

Ep 5 & Ep 6: I enjoy the interaction between the leads, but the bickering was toned down in these episodes. That kiss could have been better on the FL's part, but it looked good. That almost second kiss would have been better than the first one. The angle was right. The ML going out of his way to marry her off to other guy because he doesn't want to be abandoned is a bit sad. The fiancée and her family are so funny. I get that she has anger issues but I'm not really sure that she likes Cha Min. She rather considers him a possession. I hope the FL gives up on the SML, because it wasn't jealousy that made him say he liked her but competitiveness. In contrast the ML's feelings for her are quite real no matter how much he doesn't want to accept them. They are both so blind to how beautiful their life could be if they just stopped trying to live a loveless life.

Ep 7 & Ep 8: Cha Min blows so hot and cold, only Jae Rim can tolerate that kind of nonsense because they are both equally crazy. The SML has improved a bit but not by long. They totally got me with that imaginary scene with the leads kissing! I thought the drama was going in an another direction. He was kinda right, his mom was a little too late with the apologies. She could have made time despite how she may have been perceived. I just feel so sad for the boy that grew up being brainwashed by his father who couldn't keep his resentment to himself. He didn't give the boy a chance to form his own opinion but tried to indoctrinate him into his crazy beliefs about women.

Ep 9 & Ep 10: I wanted to see who the crazy ex fiancé was going to end up with & what happened to her crazy uncles as well. Overall, it was a nice story. I thought the last two episodes would focus on the happy ending, but we got one where they separate even though they weren't really dating. The last episode was good though. This should have been 16 episodes, so that we had some more crazy Cha Min & Jae Rim moments! They were adorable when they got together. This is definitely something worth rewatch.

I got into the drama thinking it was just a sad ending. But it is a whole toxic mess.

"Are you at an age where you should be crying over some drama character that dies?" -Noh Eul

Yes. We are. But honestly the death wasn't even the saddest part of this drama. It was the relationship between the leads, it was so damn toxic. Had it not been for my curiosity and cast, this drama is far too overhyped.

From the first episode onwards, their relationship was doomed in my eyes.
The guy tripped her, she was limping.
He even stole evidence from her that could spoil his dad's reputation, she then got into an accident.
When he met her again, he left her in the middle of road nowhere where it was snowing and threw some money at her.
He then had the gal to be angry at her for not admitting that they knew each other.
When she rejected him because she had feelings for the other guy, he actually kicked her.
Let's not talk about the way he treated her once they actually got into a relationship.
There's more, he even kissed other woman in front of her, let her be humiliated and contributed to that humliation.

I initially thought the FL would have some kind of backbone and expected more from her, but she number of times allowed him to treat her like shit and then kept going back.

This is the kind of plot that gives me the ick. The romance happened for about a minutes, the most of it was heartbreak for the FL. While the actors had chemistry, in the story, the MLs feeling for the FL just suddenly happened. They didn't have that great of a backstory to begin with.

I came into this drama expecting to be wowed and shed some tears at the end. But I shed more tears of frustrations with the way the entire relationship was handled compared to when he died. Since that's where his story ends, here's to hoping she finally meets a decent man and begins a new life.

Wow!

I did not expect this drama to be so good. It was interesting from the get go.

The female lead pretty much carried the whole show, it was focused on her story and suffering.

It also included her relationships with:
It began with her ill-fated one-sided relationship with Zhong Ye Lan, who she tricked into marrying her.
They she ended up tangled with Zhong Xi Wu, who just controlled her life and decided to make major decisions that included life and death. (Spoiler alert: The real him did seem a bit different than the dream control freak)
She also met Hua Rong Zhou, who was greenest flag, her confidante, savior, and a person who loved her without asking for anything other than her company.

I didn't expect the ending. It was a bit abrupt and I want to see more of FL's journey once she wakes up. Hopefully, there will be a season 2.

A fun show to watch

Chen Xing Xu looks fabulous in his role as Qian Heng. The stylist did a good job on both his and Zhang Ruo Nan's outfits. They were both so visually pleasing to watch. Honestly, the entire cast was filled with beautiful people.

As for the show, the plot was pretty cliche. However they tried to make it slow burn and that made it interesting to watch. The ending was satisfying and I was glad to see Cheng Xi and Wu Jun happy together. Wu Jun was such a adorable character to watch. Even when ML and FL were in the room, Wu Jun often stole the show.

While I understand the demands of the character like Cheng Yao, however I have seen Zhang Ruo Nan act better in other dramas. The character was just very agreeable and timid. There is some spark now and then that makes it from becoming boring.

The only part that I didn't much care for was woman who was interested in the ML maligned FL's reputation, and no-one actually suggested to check the camera footage. At the time the ML was away, so when he came back, FL had already resigned and then ML suddenly thought to check camera footage, because none of the other bright lawyer had the same idea. Too unbelievable. Thankfully, they didn't drag that for long and got it over with in around 3 episodes I think.

Apart from that one story arc which was completely unnecessary, the show is fun to watch.

What a disturbingly normal story.

In the first 10 episodes the FL is barely lifts her head to meet the ML eyes. Instead of feeling any chemistry between the two, I felt worried about her. Everything including their past and present relationship till episode 18 seems like the ML has the upper hand and FL just follows whatever he wants blindly. And so many questionable things happens.

The ML clearly broke up with her, told her he didn't want to see her again. Yes, the FL should have at least asked him why he wanted to, she for first time during their relationship decided to hold back. Her father forced her to move abroad and she had no way to contact ML since he refused to give her his contact details. Its 7 years later, the ML blames her saying that she just left and it felt like she broke up with him. And she apologizes.

Next, when she tells him she is divorced, he lashes out and says what makes her think that he could accept a divorced woman. He then shows up next day asks her to get married. The FL, no questions asked accepts again blindly.

Does the groom seem happy to be married? No!
Does he tell everyone that he is married? No!
His family comes to town and does he invite her to meet them? No!
She has to ask him why they are sneaking around when they are married.

What's more, she seems to have successful career, however he doesn't seem to praise her or even be proud to be her husband.

That's not even the worse:
An incident where the ML forcefully kisses her after he drinks a little, he comes back the next day apologizes for it and the heroine just shrugs its off as if its not a big concern and its acceptable. (And this is not a one off, another incident where he falls on her in jealous rage but stops himself)
Another incident with her fake marriage, another guy who got drunk and almost tried to force his attentions on her.

When the FL's ex-husband shows up threatening their marriage, he then suddenly does a 180 and becomes an husband who's actually interested in his wife. Then he realizes their marriage wasn't a real one and he wants to make it one. The ending was so bizarre because this guy was non-communicative and controlling.

Apart from the story, what was wrong with the show's stylist, I remember only 1 outfit that FL looked great in, it was when she showed up for a meeting with her ex husband. They went out of their way to make the FL look crappy at all turns. That woman was so gorgeous that she managed to make rock the botched pixie cut.

Mixed feelings about the ending

The main characters in the present get a happy ending but same cannot be said for the characters in the Joseon. The writer should have put much more thought in the story and also tied the past properly. Too many loose ends.

What about her parents who treated her great? Their daughter just died.

What was the point of saving Tae Ha in the past life, he just dies later on. And during the time he lives he has to be stuck with a wife who's in love with his reincarnation and he is completely clueless about the identity of this guy.

The past Tae Ha should have gotten to live a long healthy life. It felt a lot like present Tae Ha stole Past Tae Ha's love, even though I was rooting for the present Tae Ha and Yun Woo to end up together, I can't help but point this out.

I wish more dramas were this riveting! Hate waiting for the new episodes... But I will.

When I first heard about the drama, I liked everything about it. The title, the description, the cast, so, I was looking forward to the drama. I knew that it would hold my interest from the first episode. A lot of spoilers down below, so avoid reading it if you don't like spoilers.

Based on the the 1 episode I have seen, I love it! I can't wait to see how this one unfolds. Its so good to see Kim Soo Hyun be so emotional in his role. Before this, all the characters he has portrayed were so stoic. The drunk scene was so adorable! The distance between the ML and FL just makes me curious as to what caused it? Can it even be bridged?

With what little information we have at hand, I currently don't mind if they get divorced. In fact, one of my most prominent thought throughout the first episode was, "I hope he gets a divorce." He was so damn stressed! I have seen and read countless stories where it is the submissive FL that marries into a family that thinks she is not good for their son. And the son won't even stand up to them or speak for her. Here, while she defends him behind his back, she still lets them talk to him that way as if he owes them.

The FL looks kind of unrecognizable in the wedding scene in the beginning. I kept questioning, was that even Kim Ji Won?

At the end of the episode 2, we could all see how relieved he was when she told him that she only had 3 months to live. We could all hear the gears in his head. So, no need to file for divorce anymore, just endure for 3 months. Just started 2nd episode, which only confirms his feelings. I'm honesty not surprised though, throughout the episode we can see how hard he is trying to control his happiness. One would think, that it is not possible to salvage this at all. So far, the FL seems a bit heartless, so I'm wondering what she can do to convince us that there is more to her.

Episode 3 started out pretty boring, but we do have two interesting developments, our SML (Yoon Eun Seong) might be harboring some serial killer fantasies. I think, Mo Seul Hee [Man Dae's girlfriend], is behind the boar attack. I might definitely be suspecting someone is innocent, but she seems pretty suspicious at this point. At least in this episode we get to see that FL does have some feelings for the ML, my favorite dialogue so far, "You'd be the biggest waste." Never thought this could be said in romantic context with such possessiveness. One thing I find a bit hilarious about the FL is that she is delusional about her illness, arguing with the doctors that she will experience a miracle.

Episode 4 did not disappoint. The FL kind of reminded me of the Lee Young-joon from What's wrong with secretary Kim and Min-Min from Strong Woman, with her over-the-top self-praising shenanigans. It was quite fun to watch. What I liked the most was the ending, it was the first time the ML displayed genuine feelings for the FL (Most of the time he just wants to run away, which actually seems like a good idea for him in this setting) With the memory loss angle, I wonder if the FL is going to be cured and then loose the memory of falling in love with him again and mistreat the guy in future.

Okay. After watching episode 5, I'm sure that she is going to die and make us cry. Since we have only seen the FLs horrible side with a dash of niceness here and there, it was hard to like her in the first 2-3 episodes. But since then, we get to see more and more of her struggles and while not completely a decent character, its easy to identify her coping mechanism. She dealt with everything alone when she should have relied on her partner. Loosing a child can be a terrible blow to the parents, so it is not uncommon that they lived separately since then, relying on their own. I am starting to like the FL somewhat and like the ML, its going to be a bitter ending. Also, can't believe we have such a interesting cameo: Sebastian Roche! I thought my eyes were playing trick on me, so I had to google and it was confirmed!

Ep 6: Damn, she found out. I get that she is hurt, but once I want her to put herself in his shoes and think about all he has been through to take that extreme measure. Also, what the hell is wrong with the Hong family, is everyone crooked, except for the weirdo aunt that I very much enjoy watching. She seems to be the only other person who cares about people in that family!

Ep 7 & 8: Okay, the drams is called queen of tears because it is making us all cry. One thing you have to say about the makers of the show, they gave us such great cameos! First we had Oh Jung Se, then Sebastian Roche, and now Vincenzo. Who are we going to see next? The Vincenzo arc was too short for my liking it just ended abruptly, at least Oh Jung Se got a decent arc. I finally have started liking the FL, more so because she accepted that the reason for divorce was her. Can't believe that we are only halfway through, I just want them to drop all the episodes right now.

Ep 9 & 10: Gotta love Hyun Woo's mom, she treats Hae In so well, which can be readily seen in front of her treatment from her poor excuse of a mother. She even calls him a scumbag, calling him out on his behavior when he found out that Hae In was going to die. The epilogues are so good. I see many people comparing this one to Uncontrollably Fond, but I disagree. Apart from the terminally ill lead there's not a lot in common so far. Hae In is a lot better than Joon Yeong who was abominable to Noh Eul for the majority of their relationship. The bad times between that couple were a lot more with only a handful of good times, that as we can see is not the case with our Royal Couple Of Tears. I like how we get to see little tidbits from their past, the epilogues are always appreciated. Okay, while I'm not a big fan of Eun Seong, it was easy to see his devastation when Hae In sold him out in front of the people. He did deserved it, after all, who told him to threaten the Queen? He found out that the woman he loves is going to die, so the best he could come up with was threatening her? What an idiot.

Ep 11 & 12: Okay so much happens in this episode. Everyone's reaction was as expected when they found out about Hae In's condition. I'm not a fan of her mom's so what she said still doesn't get her off the hook for me. I'm a bit upset about the amnesia trope, it is one trope that I never want to see again. So damn convenient to use but just doesn't make for a good story. Poor Hae In, the tumor is slowly taking away her abilities to recognize people. The last part of ep 11 was so heartbreaking. Glad, there was an epilogue featuring cute Hyun Woo. Ep 12 was a bit slow. I enjoyed the scenes with the leads and skipped most of the other scenes with Eun Seong and his mother. I didn't much like Soo Cheol in the beginning, but he has grown on me. While he may not seem like smartest of the bunch, he is so damn good to Da Hye and their child.

Ep 13: The part about the Baek asking for snow for rehearsal was a bit confusing why was he so excited? The later excitement I get that he found out about being Hae In's first love. That was great scene. With Eun Seong also living for Germany, it is clear that he plans to take advantage of Hae In's memory loss and might claim that he is her husband or boyfriend. We'll find out tomorrow.

Ep 14: Called it! It was such an obvious route to go with the writing. But you do feel for Eun Seong, despite his character traits, in any other drama he might have been the ML who ends up with the FL. Here, his love is just unrequited. Why does the poor bear, Soo Cheol, keeps suffering. I hope he lives happily and stops with all the blunders.

Ep 15 & 16: I didn't enjoy the final two episodes as much as the rest of the series. To me, it was all a bit over the top, but the with the way the story was set, it was bound to end up like that. I never really hated Eun Seong's character, the same couldn't be said for his mother. I was a bit surprised to hear that Hae In did clue in Baek about her family before they married. (I didn't' like how she treated him in the beginning) But I'm glad that they have rediscovered each other.

Did not make any sense at all

The story is like someone said nonsense. They took a good concept and decided to just mess with it. The first episode did not connect with the whole story. There is such a visible inconsistency with the way the ML's character behaves in the first episode and rest of the show.

In the first episode, he is a man, who lets his so called beloved marry a chicken and then forces himself on her on their wedding night. In the rest of the episodes, he seems like a different person, not a great ML but kinda okay. I have seen another drama featuring this Guan Yue (Night of love with you) he did good job in that. However, in TRL something was missing. Also, his makeup was so poorly done. In the last episode, when the FL dies, he walks to her with no grief in his expression at all. But later a tear slips down his cheek. Just so underwhelming.

Slow pacing. But the story between the leads keeps things interesting. (New Favorite)

Ep 1 to Ep 6: They ended ep 6 with a cliffhanger. Who exactly is she mad at? Is she mad at the Xin Bai or Jia Ye? They gave us 6 episode in a row and now we'll only get 2 daily. But it was smart of them to do that. People would not have been happy with the first two episodes, it takes time to build up pace & your patience is rewarded. You come to like the characters. Since I like stories with shapeshifters this is my cup of tea. The most idiotic thing so far was the scene when the Nan Xing turns into a guy & acts like a lunatic trying to burrow into everything trying to hide herself. It was like watching a rodent, I kept wondering what they were thinking! But I overlooked that part and decided to continue. So Nan Xing & Xin Bai get married in episode 6 & I guess we'll see their first separation in next episode because he lied to her & she really wasn't keen on getting married.

Ep 7 to Ep 10: I was so over overuse of the trope where the leads knew each other as children, but I don't mind it being used here. Rather than being a cliche, it adds to their fate. When Xin Bai returned home, he was accosted by a older woman, which at first, I thought would be Nan Xing's mother, but it was his mother. So both leads have crazy mothers! Here's to hoping that they have a chance to meet and torture the leads together, that would be fun to watch! Okay we have another crazy woman who just so happens to be Xin Bai's sister, but so far it seems like she isn't the kind of crazy you like. I can't wait for the leads to meet yet again. Woah, they passed each other & Xin Bai facial blindness got in the way of him recognizing her. What's more, when he figured out that she had changed somehow, he still helped her get out without questions. I do wonder what kind of psychic powers she thinks the little guy had. Loved it.

Ep 11 to Ep 16: I think Yan Nan XIng needs to make up with Jiang Xin Bai now. He has made up for his past blunder & even seems to care for her. Finally glad that Tong Sai Er is here. I wondered why she has little to no screen time. In previous episodes, she was last seen dancing and that was about it. She is such a cutie that it gives me hope that Shan Bei Li isn't far gone. I wonder who's her brother though. For a moment there, Xin Bai was jealous of Shan Bei Li & even the guy who Nan Xing is looking for. We got to see some family shenanigans, I knew Xin Bai's mom was this crazy. It is good, she'll be able to handle Nan Xing's condition well & might also help out. Tong Saner & Shan Bei Li together are cuties, him telling her to look for her fiancé so that she doesn't have nowhere to go if Nan Xing business goes wrong due to Bei Li's & Suo Luo's interference. Xin Bai's being pretty gutsy with the request he has made of Nan Xing. Let's see how it goes.

Ep 17 & Ep 24: I did not expect Xin Bai's mother & sister to got to this extent to drive away Yan Nan Xing. What a waste of potential good mother-in-law. Suo Luo is such a brat that doesn't deserve to be in the position she is in. Instead of actually doing something for the people, all she cares about is how she can be better than her brother. A brother who did not even think of her as less than himself. I don't know what both mother & sister can do at this point to redeem themselves as decent human beings. I like the way Nan Xing treated Tong Saner & Liu Ruo Qian, caring for them more than a normal boss would for an employee. Oh that was gold, his mother finding Yan Nan Xing in his closet but out steps a he. She is gonna go crazy. I loved how she just couldn't speak when the guy was mentioned and she decided okay Nan Xing isn't that bad. She is the perfect wife for Xin Bai.

Ep 25 to Ep 34: So we have come to the second wedding and this time around they are more sure about their feelings for each other. Xin Bai at least has figured out that Nan Xing is the girl he met as a child, he should have told her right away. But since he didn't I have a bad feeling. I love Tong Saner, she is kinda insane and I adore her. Her wanting to take Bei Li as sworn brother was so hilarious. I am still not a fan of Suo Luo, she is a liability. So, how come they separate right after their weddings! Jiang Xin Bai has got no chill. He is on a mission and he is gone. To think about it, you can't always take your wife to work so it makes sense that he went away for work. It makes me think that we are going to get news of him dying there. Nan Xing is gonna be so sad about her mother. I wonder what the new guy is up to. He looked like a decent love rival, but he had to go full on crazy! But I have hopes that he will turn into an ally so lets see where it goes. I'm so disappointed in the not-so-friendly bandit. Finally, glad that Nan Xing knows Xin Bai's the one she was looking for so long. I wish we could see more of Nan Xing's transformations, but unfortunately that part of her is underutilized by the drama.

Ep 35 to Ep 40: Dammit, why did Bai Yuan have to come up with such a ridiculous plan and get himself killed! Now, not only does he not have Yan Nan Xing, he is dead. So foolish. He could have led a better life with reforming his people. He put Nan Xing and Xin Bai's family in such a muddle. Xin Bai surely thinks divorce is a game, at the smallest inconvenience he is like Nan Xing let's get a divorce it will protect you! How long has he known Nan Xing? Does he think she is gonna stay in a corner he puts her into? She is gonna run head front in trouble and then he is just gonna have to rescue her. He might as well stick to her like a glue. The story was a bit underwhelming especially with the concept and the characters they had. It had so much potential. I did love the final episode with three lovely brides. The cast is also good, I hope to see the drama in another light if I ever rewatch it again.

We have one of the Sweetest ML with a great character development. (2nd watch)

It is hard not to like Jang Uk. There are so many reasons to like the character, including that he was such a understanding person even to those who hurt him. The creators did a wonderful job picking the cast, especially, Lee Jae Wook who is too damn attractive and charming in all his roles. He was such a green flag in the first season and had great character development throughout it. Even though he started out a bit childish and lazy, he grew into his role and it was just amazing to watch. During my first watch, the story got a bit boring with the other characters but I still completed it. However, during the 2nd watch, I'm focusing on the scenes that include Jang Uk, Mu Deok, & Seo Yul.

Naksu, who soul shifted into Mu Deok's body, sometimes failed to convince that she used to be an Assassin who a lot of people were scared of. While she dropped the ball in some places, there were others that were very convincing. This includes all the crazy ticks she pulled to ensure that Jang Uk grew into his power. (For some reason, this time around, they reminded me of the Sae Roy and Yi-Seo from Itaeon Class, Yi-Seo and Mu Deok's character share similarities in the way they out of their way to ensure that their partners succeed no matter how it happens. Both Jang Uk & Sae Roy had to teach their partners about loyalty & care)

Loved it. The leads are surprisingly gentle and humorous.

The first 7 episodes flew away like a breeze. I do like the dynamics between the 2, but it seems like Shen Li was the only one to catch feelings during Xing Yun while was affectionate didn't seem to be that interested in her. Even when she was gone he lived his life very well, maybe missed her once in a while, but was not deeply moved by her leaving or even the idea of her marrying someone else. Even when he returned to the heavenly realm, he seemed as indifferent so far. Apart from mentioning that Shen Li was interesting he didn't intend to pursue her.

Ep 8 to 16: She finally meets Divine Lord Xing Zi, who denies he knows Xing Yun, hearing which she sheds tears to which the divine lord is unmoved. He then insists on spending time with her. The Poor girl is busy scouting the place while the Divine Lord is taking a leisurely stroll in the garden.

The Divine Lord finally clears up that he didn't intend to spend time with her but it was to clean her miasma that he had to take her along. When she talks about him resembling an old acquaintance. He brushes it off saying its common and that she shouldn't get too attached to things or people. He then follows her to the demon realm and claims he needs to stay for fun and wants to live at her place. He then shows a teeny bit of what you could call jealousy when Shen Li's betrothed shows up. The one that divine lord himself picked.

Gotta love Shen Li, in ep 14, she finally decided to put everything out there and then kindly told him to go fuck himself. What's even wrong with the guy, he can't even sort out his own feelings and continues to mess with her, following her around everywhere just rejecting her left and right and still bombarding her with those mixed signals.

In ep 16, we get too see them work together, Shen Li gets hurts and we actually see Divine lord get mad for the first time. First green signal telling us that he does care for her. It is nice to see him hold her sweetly nursing her back to health.

ep 16 to 39: Wow this was very slow burn, they finally got together in episodes 30-31, when they do get together it is amazing!

What I like the most about this drama is that the leads don't betray each other and are loyal. There are never any misunderstanding or other man or woman they have to pretend to love in order to protect each other. So, i'll be putting this on my rewatch list.
