In the movie they both were rescued (taken out of the water )too and not conscious .FL had the borrowed necklace on her which when the rescuer worried who to save it catch a light and gave him the sign to save the FL.We will see how it will be shown here as in the movie she had the necklace here not

we have not seen the bad guy yet I think. I am not sure it was the king but probably some high minister not wanting to loose his place by the king if the king changed that day. His robe (scene when ML and FL witnesed her father got murdered) was dark red and those are high standing ministers
