Well she doesn't love the guy. It's normal
You have to remember she spent her life in the army. It's normal she doesn't have high emotional intelligence or political maneuvering😅 She's like the typical Second Male Lead in dramas. It's a nice trope subversion.

Why did they couple the princess with the king? He’s like her dad's age; it’s just messed up lol. They should…
Political marriage. No one asks the woman's opinion. She mentions her father the king loved another daughter more so she was sent instead.

Its historically accurate and Zigu is an adult woman, who consented into marrying the emperor out of her free…
She didn't consent. Her father the king ordered her to. It's mentioned a few times in early episodes.

Arranged political marriage. I don't see any romance in it

Even if they saw the red fox, General Yin is still forcefully rejecting Crown Prince. Double standards again.…

I like Princess Zigu but there's a limit to this naive cute shtick. It's become tiring very quickly.

Exactly, I just commented it. It is weid the way he loves or to be precise, the way he is obsessed with her. https://mydramalist.com/680797-chun-hua-yan#comment-19147484
It's like he built this whole image of her in his head that doesn't match reality.

Does he want to?
Princes born from foreign concubines usually don't inherit the throne though.

I am not sure why all this novel talk is here. Can we just watch the drama for what it is especially if the story…
Most drama adaptations don't stick to the novel anyways.

Does he want to?
I assume there must be more princes in the royal family.

Is there any chance of Jinghe becoming the Crown Prince at all though? 🤔

Just started this. This is a good production for a Cdrama. Although I'm surprised by how naive the Xiyan royal siblings are. Did no one school them in politics?

Its really not rocket science to understand when you have your beloved on the receiving end of a murder crime,…
We're talking about different things. As a viewer and a human being, I agree with you. As a writer, a character must have a certain characteristics and a pillar to build around. His has been justice for his family and by extension to others who face the same tragedy, but he wavers a lot during the first 6 episodes. It's shoddy writing on part of the scriptwriter.

Of course. But I am talking in the context of his characterization in the drama, not as our empathy with him as viewers. This is probably why some viewers find him annoying. He's not consistent in his actions/beliefs.

Han Da On's behaviour is erratic. I can't figure out if he wants to protect the innocent and uphold the law or if he's going vigilante. Justitita's court rulings at least have the flimsy excuse of legal procedures on her side, but he seems like a trauma victim more than a detective.

What is the problem if justita cries? can someone explain?
Demons are not supposed to feel emotions. Not the softer, more positive ones at least.
