That said, Blood River and it's universe of connected novels are about martial arts and the Jianghu. It is not about romance or being female-led. I do enjoy dramas that don't have romance at times. My first reply stands, American TV shows and Cdramas are very different and should be viewed through different lense. Not just aesthetically but also the values and morals it encourages.
