Ep.18: It's hard being an emperor. The actor does a good job here and the script gave him depth. He reminds me of the emperor from Blossoms in Adversity, where there are hidden motives and reasons that are slowly revealed to the audience.
Ep.17: The scene of 4 people with shifting loyalties and their confrontation was well done. Director knew how to shoot it for maximum impact. Even at the end when the camera lingered on ML's lone figure and his bloodstained hand.
Ep.17: I have to give the drama some credit. At least they're showing the pursuit, distance, and towns. Usually the leads just magically appear as if they've crossed a thousand li in an hour😂
Ep.16: Waaah! Saying she is like a wolf, intelligent and fierce. ML accepts her just as she is. So few dramas do this. Setting a new standard for mature love here🥰

This guy is not stupid. He is a strategist and seems to think ahead several steps. He's just crying and making excuses thar his life is not his own and he has to obey his master.
