I decided to watch W as it still is highly rated on Viki, but also because of Lee Jong Suk. I’m writing this as I watch, but currently the first 6 episodes were the best. I’m currently on episode 9 and it’s just gotten to a weird point. Yeon Joo literally just decides to not go back to her own world to be with Kang Chul. I was expecting more from her character since she’s supposed to be a doctor. Her character in my opinion is just not as grand as I expected. As the reactions she does is just over the top too the point it gets kinda annoying as it’s something a character would do in a book, not someone who’s supposed to live in the real world. I also wish the romance between Yeon Joo and Chul didn’t happen so fast. It kinda made the show seem that it was at it’s peak at only 8 episodes. I don’t know what to expect with the last set of episodes as the storyline seems a bit messy now. However so far I like the acting for Kang Chul as it’s more realistic to a book character as he was set up that way. I think the acting for everyone except Yeon Joo fit their character perfectly.

Final thoughts after finishing:
After finishing it the drama actually made up for all the numerous flashback, repeats, and cliches. I was actually satisfied with the ending. It was a little sad, but it was for a good cause. I only wished the context of the rules between worlds was more clear. It seemed as some advantages characters had just weren’t as clear to me as I would’ve hoped. I still think the female lead lacked in performance. I think expressions were over exaggerated, but also her constant starring without saying anything bothered me. I honestly didn’t know how it would end. It ended well. I’m also satisfied how the romance was knotched down and made the drama more likeable for me. In the beginning it was just to cringe for so early in the show. Other than that I’m satisfied with the drama. However there were some parts I think were stretched out too long, I get that 16 episodes is usually the lowest for dramas, but this drama could’ve ended in about 12 episodes if things weren’t stretched out.
