Just wondering, how many people actually listened to the warning others gave before this series started airing, those who read the novel and said this series is not for the faint of hearts. Did you took a moment to think maybe I shouldn’t start this series?
For crying out loud I just explained it to you, stop thinking you know all. Listen to the people who actually…
I saw, but honestly if they want to believe so badly that they are related, fine by me. I’m pretty sure they’ll keep that scene with the PI in the series, so if they indeed show it, it’s going to be a nice surprise for them. Personally I didn’t care when I read the webtoon nor watching this series if they are actually cousins, they can’t reproduce. They didn’t really grow up together, even if the series changed that. I watched The Unknown (it’s one of my favorite series) and there is also the whole step/adopted brother genre, also didnt care. But I know a friend of mine won’t watch it. It’s their choice really, I just don’t like that this person above is giving out misinformation, even after being told differently multiple times. Synopsis on MDL have been wrong before, just look at the synopsis of Abo Desire, it’s a mess. Also why would they give away the biggest plot twist of the story in the synopsis?
Jesus Christ you all. Read the synopsis. Jeong in and il Jo are HALF brothers. Not step brothers. That means they…
For crying out loud I just explained it to you, stop thinking you know all. Listen to the people who actually read the original source or read the manhwa or novel yourself! Il Jo’s mother was a woman in her 20s abandoned by the father and couldn’t handle being a single mother. So she left Il Jo at a church and the nuns of said church brought him to an orphanage, where when Il Jo was around 6 years old, he was adopted by the uncle. Nobody in the family knows this, except for the aunt who didnt agree with the formal adoption. The aunt is dead, which Jeong In blames Il Jo for. Everybody in the family thinks Il Jo is an illegitimate child from an affair the uncle had, which isn’t true. There is no familial connection at all between Il Jo and Jeonghan or anybody else from that family. Jeonghan only finds out the truth around chapter 60 of the manhwa, so again can you stop giving out false information you have no clue about!
they aren't blood related cousins they are cousins through marriage. You'd also have to double check the cultural…
Again, stop saying things like you know stuff when you clearly don’t know anything, nobody in the family knows Il Jo is adopted, they all think he’s an illegitimate child out of an affair the uncle had, thats why Jeonghan thinks they are cousins, thats why everybody thinks he’s a family member.
Go read the manhwa, better yet I’ll send you the exact chapter Jeonghan finds out Il Jo is adopted, then you can stop talking about misinformation.

Who is the one having delusions, pretty sure you are. A lot of us (including me) read the original source and the manhwa! The aunt didnt agree to the formal adoption, so the uncle couldn’t formally adopt him! He’s an orphan, who meets his biological mother later in the manhwa, which didnt go how he hoped it went. Quite while you are behind! Stop trying to sound smart when you have no idea what you are talking about!
He isn’t used to people willing to give up things for him. Jeonghan is ready to give everything up for him,…
Oh yeah he definitely stands up to his dad, made it clear that he was homosexual, that he should give up on ever having grandkids, he vowed to spend eternity with a man, that the father should note that down. In turn the father swung one of his golf clubs at him, leaving him bruised and fracturing his arm. Afterwards the father tried to restrict his personal life and he received orders for overseas assignment. Jeonghan didnt really think that impulsive decision through, so he did that without discussing it with Il Jo. The ending was a bit rushed and open even though they have a happy ending.
iljo is starting to irritate me. like why are we acting scared of everything?
He isn’t used to people willing to give up things for him. Jeonghan is ready to give everything up for him, to come out as homosexual, he is ready to give up his work, friends, family etc. Il Jo is scared of the consequences for Jeonghan. And honestly the father of Jeonghan is a major asshole. Il Jo has had a bad relationship that left him kind of traumatized. Though in the manga he was worse and it frustrated me to no end, especially because Jeonghan was so ready to be committed to Il Jo, he changed so much (which they barely show in the series). Il Jo also feels indebted to Jeonghan, he feels inequal to Jeonghan because he never finished school.

Can you stop saying this, Il Jo is not part of the family, he is an orphan, his mother dropped him off at a church when she was 20 and the father had run off. The nuns brought him to an orphanage. The uncle “adopted” Il Jo when he was 6 because nobody wanted him at that age. They do not have the same grandparents!
Skimmed the last chapter of the webtoon and that ends happily at least.
The webtoon I read has both “seasons”, part one or season 1 was the ending of episode 4, where Jeonghan says let’s date. Episode 5 and 6 are events that happen in part 2 of season 2. And they have a happy ending.
I'm sorry but when i saw some people compare this to to my shore ,it made me laugh 😅
It’s ridiculous to even compare series to each other. I don’t see people do that when it comes to Thai BLs, I don’t see people say in comments on the page of Reset that Khemjira was better. Why compare those series? Because they are both Chinese series?
Also comparing To My Shore to Desire is like comparing apples to oranges, they are both extremely different series. Just enjoy the series, give your compliments, you can leave a positive review without dragging another series down with it.
Lu Zhen is too funny cos what do you mean you dumped your boyfriend/fiancé because a rich man threw money at…
Finally somebody who has the same opinion of me when it comes to Lu Zhen. Can’t stand how he runs back to Shulang when things get rough. Like dude you wanted this, you accepted all the gifts greedily. He put expectations and assumptions on those and he broke up the relationship for a stranger who gave him gifts, without ever mentioning that said person actually liked him. If it wasn’t Fan Xiao but somebody else who spoiled him, he would’ve done the exact same thing. He’s not some victim or baby that needs protecting, he made his bed, now he can lie in it. If the relationship was solid Lu Zhen would’ve never accepted the gifts, wouldn’t have cancelled plans with Shulang, wouldn’t have pulled away from Shulang, wouldn’t have swayed.
How is the writing bad? It’s addictive, with a good plot and strong acting. If you watch episode 8, the acting…
Do you though? Because if you understand why he is traumatized and has become a very complex character, you would understand why he does this. For me he actually makes a lot of sense, but you have to be willing to look beyond what’s on the surface.
people throwing out the term red flag like it's on sale. Saw some comments which stated FX is a black flag and…
I agree. I personally feel like the whole red flag, black flag descriptions of characters are downplaying the complexity that said characters have. FX has his reasons why he behaves and reacts like that. But sadly I see it to often when we have a series with a very complex and intriguing character, people only look at what is on the surface and barely see beyond that. FX was made like that, by having his mother die in front of him, being helpless, having been tormented by his brothers, silenced by his family, father who doesn’t care if he’s around, being abandoned. He’s known nothing but torment, heartbreak, sadness, pain and probably anger. Over time that hardened him, to say oh he’s just a red or black flag downplays the complexity that is FX. YSL is a decent human being who reacts when you push him to far, which is normal.

The 4 are watching a horror movie together, Eliot our Enigma is a frightened bunny, same for Seeky.

@BeingAlone explains his character very well.
