Maybe Begin Again could sort of fit your criteria ? Definitely for the first part (poor man/rich woman), and there…
Sad :( I'm a sucker for subverted tropes. I prefer younger man/older woman or older man/younger woman and rich woman/poor man over poor woman/rich man. Sadly these tropes aren't that well explored :/
hi, can i ask for a spoiler?1. when the main lead officially become a couple?2. any misunderstanding and break…
Don't know if you watched this already or not yet. I'll still answer: 1. They officially become a couple by episode 12. But it's very complicated as they start liking each other since around episode 4-5 and they come to know about their feelings for each other as early as episode 8. They just never get together because of their trauma and guilt. 2. After episode 12, they remain together till the end. They don't break-up or have a misunderstanding once they officially get together. The male lead tries to avoid the FL from episode 8-episode 11 due to his guilt but she puts him in his place telling him that whoever she likes is her choice and he should stop feeling guilty (she's a strong, independent FL). 3. Happy and satisfying ending.
Totally agree with Into the Ring! I have no idea why is there no buzz around it. I was surprised when I saw that…
Totally. It was one of the best dramas of 2020 and it went completely unnoticed which was a tragedy as it was better than like all the most popular Kdramas of 2020.
Be melodramatic is one ofmy favourite kdramas of all time too! But I think it's quite popular though >.
AGREED! Both the dramas had me feeling wholesome one moment and then teared up the next. They're a roller coaster. Be Melodramatic might come off as a comedy but it's so much deeper and nuanced. Especially Jeon Yeo Bin's story. It was Lee Byung Hun at his strongest tbh
I didn't like A Piece of Your Mind at all. Same with Imitation. I agree with Move to Heaven and Class of Lies though.
Everytime someone says "underrated Kdrama" though my mind automatically thinks of these dramas: 1. Just Between Lover: One of the most realistic portrayal of trauma and guilt in Kdrama world. Super relatable if you have lost someone tbh 2. Into the Ring: Basically the Korean version of Amelie in some ways. Nana's portrayal of the main character deserved acting awards and the direction was top notch and highly influenced by European legends like Jean Pierre Jeunet and Lars Von Trier. 3. Be Melodramatic: Brilliant slice of life drama. One of the best Asian slice of life I've seen period. Well written characters whom despite being super idiosyncratic ends up being very relatable. 4. Black Dog: 5. The Diary of Prosecutor.
Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughtsI have seen the harsh reality of extra martial affair of my cousin. Since…
I've been cheated on myself. So I've felt the hurt. I hate cheating and cheaters in dramas due to this and I absolutely avoid dramas that romanticises cheating (for e.g Valid Love, that one Lee Sang Yeob drama etc.). So I'll prolly feel no sympathy for this woman because she didn't care about it until it affected her.
First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR USING A WHITE SHADOW ON THE BLACK FONT! There are so many articles on this website that cannot be read in dark mode as they use dark fonts which completely blends in with theme >.<
There are a lot of dramas that I'm anticipating in the 2nd half of 2021 (or maybe some are confirmed for next year, not sure). KinnPorsche, Love Me Like a Child, Chasing the Light, Why Women Love from this list are definitely in my PTW.
There are some Kdramas I'm really excited about this year. Just to name a few: The Penthouse 3 (just started) On the Verge of Insanity You Are My Spring Seashore Village Cliffhanger High Class Bulgasal D.P My Name All of Us Are Dead So Not Worth It Hellbound A Person Like You Police Class The Witch's Diner Now We Are Breaking Up Suriname Doctor Brain
Reading the synopsis for Show Window though, my brain automatically went "Karma's a bitch, well deserved". Anyone who supports cheating gets no sympathy from me. lmao
