Like they said in the final episode, they don't know what happened to PID and they are more or less sure that…
Like I mentioned, we don't know if PID is still present inside Hwa Pyung or not. But it IS subtly implied that PID hasn't been condemned fully and might return in the future (hence the reason why Hwa Pyung didn't contact them for that long).
For all we know PID might be latent inside Hwa Pyung waiting for just the right moment to again take over his body. The thing is we don't know for sure, which is why I said it had an open ending and if they ever make a S2 they might choose to bring back PID.
Yoon was alive probably because Hwa Pyung tried to sacrifice himself for him. And also PID might have been tricking Yoon about him dying the third time they met because demons are known for their trickery.
Hmmmmm... I just finished watched this drama and I can't exactly tell how I felt.Is it just me or the push and…
You must not know anyone with psychological scars then. The writing of Kang Doo's characters and him pulling away from people was very realistic portrayal of people with psychological scars. It's very hard to move on from a tragic past no matter what so the fact that the crux of the show was tragic past was what made it better. Adding in present and future dilemmas could've perverted the story.
And what are you talking about they had a push and pull relationship?? The only drama they had between them was around episode 8-11. Before that their relationship was just developing and post that they were steady af. I think you are dramatically exaggerating.
To everyone who has a problem with the "hyperactiveness" of Yi Seok's character I'd like to point out that his mother has bipolar disorder and he has noted that he might be bipolar as well in the 2nd episode. So it's writing consistency. I love it actually that his character is like that, it gives nuances to the writing and gives his character kaleidoscopic colours making him much more interesting.
So, somebody tell me please:What happened in the sea? Was PID successfully exorcised? Why then is the priest alive?…
Like they said in the final episode, they don't know what happened to PID and they are more or less sure that he's gonna return some day. That's the main reason why Hwa Pyung didn't contact them at the end. It's implied that he thinks PID may return anytime inside him and he didn't want to cause any harm to people he cared about.
So it had an open ending. Which is likely deliberate as they might just be setting up for a second season. Since Park Hong Joo's storyline wasn't fully resolved, and since this is OCN (who constantly promotes season-based shows unlike other cables/network in SK TV industry) S2 is very highly likely.
If this doesn't get a S2, then I'm gonna book a ticket to SK and go to the OCN HQ and hold them hostage until they pass a S2 decision! lol It's THAT good.
The trio of lead actors, especially Kim Dong Wook carried this Horror-Mystery so hard. I was absolutely impressed by Dong Wook here.
Very good drama. The "friendships" is the highlight of this show, especially between Na Moon He-Chun Jung Myung and Chun Jung Myung-Kim Min Hee. Bae Jong Ok didn't have a lot of relevance to the story but I was very invested in her character too. It's a slow burn, slice of life with lots of angst and heartwarming interactions. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for just the right drama to watch during this winter.
Albeit, I abhorr the ending. I was fed up off Yoon So Yi's character at the end and her decisions made me want to throttle her badly. If I were Chun Jung Myung's character I wouldn't even give her a second glance. I hated how OOC his character was the end by accepting her back. I particulaly didn't care about their romance (even though it was a centre plot) but I nonetheless hated seeing her make such a rash and selfish decision at the last moment.
Very entertaining show. Deserves more love definitely. It's one of the best Tdrama I've seen in terms of writing and acting tbh The character interactions are very entertaining, especially between Qiang Da and Bu Fan & the two leads.
Compared to your other Tdramas (I've seen plenty of them) - the pacing is consistent, the character and plot development is consistent and there's enough of fluff and laughter to keep the show interesting while having a mystery/crime plot. While there may be some very cheesy and ridiculous scenes here and there, it retains sanity for majority of the part. Amanda Chou, who usually never leads a show & Yen Tsao who has never lead a show are doing fantastic job here. They have really nice chemistry. Lawrence's character is hilarious too and he plays it very well. Yang Peace doesn't have that big of a role at the beginning but her character becomes bigger and more interesting as the episodes goes on.
So far the show has been going strong, hope it'll stay so till the end.
Taiwanese stuff tends to fly under the radar but yeah I love it. Light and funny so far with a good mystery story…
Completely agreed. Tdramas are usually so very ridiculous and over the top with badly written characters and plotline. But this seems to be among the better written Tdramas I've seen as well. It's so sad that it's underrated.
