This series gets more disappointing as it proceeds. I still think that episode 1 is miles better than the proceeding…
Calling Ep 1 miles better than the 9th episode is one of the more preposterous hyperbole I've seen. Sure it floundered around episode 3-6, but it has only gotten better since they gave us exposition after exposition.

I actually think Gene-NC scene thing is a good expose moment. After watching this, I highly believe that many publishing companies force their writers to add in such problematic, toxic scenes in their books. And they don't have a choice, it's either do it or have your book unpublished. Just something to think about and mull over.

I love the beach so much that I want a whole BL set only on the beach with no other filming locations! If such…
The Moment and the Moment Since. A very low budget BL mini-series. Just bunch of fluff that doesn't make any sense and set in a coastal area.

Just wanted to come back and say that I listened to more of Peter Han, 2Z and IZ and you gotta share your playlists!…
Haha Kballads are my fave type of Korean music. I have 2 playlists of Kballads on Spotify, I'll DM you the links.

Peter Han is CRIMINALLY underrated. He has done OST for two Kdramas (Stranger and Mother) and they're both such good songs. He also has such a nice, unique voice. Deserves way better!!

2Z and IZ have so many good songs, it bothers me how no one even knows them! 2Z definitely sounds more Indie than IZ. Many of 2Z songs are actually on the rock-ier, harder side. You should try out their recent album, it's called "ACT1", it has so many good songs.

I was gonna say the same. He's a beautiful man. The pic is so bad.
A man can be beautiful. Spectrum of beauty is not just for women. Heck there are even magazines that puts out a yearly ranking of "Most Beautiful Man Alive" like HarpersBazaar.

In that case, maybe a rookie actor? We need some fresh new talent am I right? :’)
A rising actor would also be my choice. I'm a Rowoon stan, but I wouldn't choose him for this. Maybe someone like Kim Young Dae or Ahn Bo Hyun.

There's quite a bit of plot holes, but if you're looking for a cheesy quick cookie cutter dramatic love buzz,…
Chinese dramas without plotholes don't exist, esp in the romcom idol industry. So anyone watching a Chinese romcom is prolly prepared for it.

There are so many underrated Kpop groups/bands with songs that fit Kdramas. A handful of songs that comes to mind are:
-> A few 2Z songs would suit a comedy drama like Eulachacha Waikiki series so well (Oasis, Stupid, Let's Go For It etc.), whereas a handful of others sound like something made for a campus drama (for e.g Stand). Whereas a few other would suit a mystery drama (All I Want for e.g is perfect for OCN dramas).
-> LUCY songs. Their songs are already often used for Kdramas. But a few others would also suit the drama world like Stove, Flowering etc.
-> IZ songs. Another band like the other two. Songs like Say Yes, Road to the Sun, Tears are made for melodramas.
-> Davichi songs (No brainer here) especially songs like Spring (in fact someone has made a FMV of this song using a drama on YT and it fits so well), Don't Move, and the recent Just Hug Me.
-> December's She's Gone and Unfinished. Two of my fave Kballads of all time. She's Gone would fit sci-fi dramas really well whereas Unfinished is tailormade for a melodrama. Highly recommend you try these songs out.
-> Hyunsik's Dear Love would fit a melodrama really well.
-> Peter Han's Broken Apart for an OCN crime mystery drama (would suit dramas like Train SUPER well).
-> Standing Egg's Foolish ft Davichi's Lee Haeri
-> Yangpa's Farewell is Not the Same. It sounds like a song right out of a soundtrack of a mid 2000s Kdrama.

And SO MANY MORE!

Does the brother like the FL? Because I hate the "Brothers fall in love with the same girl" trope. If so, I'm skipping this one.

I watched this after the Guest as well. I personally think both of these dramas are entirely different types of dramas and both excel at what they're aiming for. The Guest, as I look at it, was a procedural crime drama but with a supernatural backdrop and while it has an overarching villain/demon it also focuses on minor antagonists/ghosts. It emphasises investigation process rather than the "exorcisms" . The Priest on the other hand was a horror drama through and through with one overarching villain/demon and puts the most stress on character narratives and exorcisms.

Wait, so your problem was the fact that he was a Priest and a Priest had a love line? Because they also justify this completely later on when it starts doing character exposition. Nothing is as it seems, trust me on that.

One of the best Horror movies I've seen. In fact since watching this movie (I did around its release), I've not seen a horror movie anywhere near as good as this. It's a masterclass on how to do horror mystery that will leave your mind boggled.

Full of biblical symbolism and motif, it'll leave you guessing about every character's motif and affiliation.

Title The Guest
can anyone recommend anything like this ?
Priest? It's based around a Church as well, but unlike the Guest. Priest is more horror-like (The Guest is more procedural crime drama in comparison).
