I don’t get what Genes dad is afraid of. Like Jab said the present is different from the past plus. Plus Genes…
Pretty sure he is worried about societal judgment more than anything. And it's kinda true, while now is so much better than the past, there still remains a large portion of people in Asian countries that are homophobic.
Is My Ride still happening though? The book was superb, but the show production seems to be in trouble.
That's amazing news. Last time I read, there were rumours that the cast was getting changed as well. I hope they don't change Mork, the guy who was cast before as Mork was the perfect actor for him physically.
I totally agree. The subarc about Aey liking Nubsib is totally pointless. Then revealing in this episode that…
If they focused Aey's character development solely on his family drama, he'd be a much better character. But as he is right now, he's terribly unlikeable imo
The family dinner was excruciating to watch tbh Such a tense scene. It gave me flashbacks to my own coming out which happened during dinner as well, it did not end well. Coming out scenes make me so uncomfortable honestly due to this and this one was just as uncomfortable.
The coming out scene was well handled tbh it's rare to see a Thai BL that handles how family react to coming out well. Usually it's botched so badly that it's almost comical for e.g Thonhon Chonlathee's horrendous coming out scene. This one was well done, it's breaking barriers when it comes to Thai BLs tbh GMMTV should take notes. This one, Call It What You Want & I Told Sunset... are three of the best Thai BLs I've seen tbh
Gene's father being a bisexual did not shock me tbh (it kinda reminded me of Call Me By Your Name where the father reveals to Timothee's character that he had a summer fling with a guy when he was young as well) and I'm warmly surprised that they're finally acknowledging the existence of bi in Thai BLs. As a Bi, I really liked it. Every Thai BL goes the stupid "I'm not gay, I don't like boys, I just like you" route which is hella disappointing as they completely ignore the existence of us Bis and pans.
The biggest negative about this episode was imo the Aey scenes. His interest in Gene/Sib feels entirely unnecessary and unneeded, the show would've been better without it.
If it's anything like the 2011 film New Year's Eve (or Valentine's Day), then the editing is gonna be a disaster with all the characters feeling underdeveloped and personality-less. Not to mention the hollow and scrambled script.
Despite being a huge fan of more than half of the people in the cast list, I'm less than optimistic about this movie rn
Underrated show. It's not as medically fastidious as some other Korean medical dramas but the slice of life factor in this is really good. It's just so soothing to watch in general. Definitely a gem.
Doctor Romantic 3 Pls. Bring back all the main characters from S1 and S2 and focus it on a trauma centre without central control like the first two seasons where they treat trauma patients with cutting edge technique.
Her outfits are just like her boots lol They are all black but the little details make them stylish and not uniform.
Her outfits are really subtle too but it suits her frigging well. The jet black hair, the dark make-up, the black attire, it's dark and she looks attractive in dark! She has never looked better if you ask me. She suits the pixie doe eyed style she has done so far, but she suits this much more. It's mature and might I say, sexy.
