Lmao the OP is criticising the drama on aggressiveness and abusiveness of a relationship and you're seriously recommending the book? Which is x100 times more abusive than the show. Are we forgetting the fact that the first time "they did it" Gu Hai raped BYL hard enough to cause him to become unconscious and brutally ill for days? "Masterpiece"? No. Not even close, the bond the two leads share is incredible but the book has an incredible amount of flaws especially in its portrayal of what a healthy relationship should be like.

This is true. The translator of Advance Bravely confirmed it too and I saw the post myself. I'm excited for it, I liked this one but a continuation was due. And since it's Taiwan, I have high expectations for it. There won't be any glossing over of the BL parts either. Although considering how long the books are I wonder if it'll be a long series or a series with multiple seasons.

Not even. I liked the two leads in this, but saying another couple with better chemistry is impossible to find is ridiculous. I could name numerous other BL couples who have better chemistry than these two, some are in Taiwanese BL dramas itself (like most couples in the History series).

The production quality is very good but besides that and the chemistry between the two leads nothing about this drama stands out. Seriously, my gosh. 40 episodes total, but like 46 of those were just nonsensical gobshite. It'd have been million times better if it was like 10-12 episode seriously. WTF were they even thinking. I'll not spoil anything, but if you're looking for a good story, this one is not for you. It's just garbage. I ended up skimming through everything after the first few episodes. It was THAT bad

Just watch it on Netflix. It's already there.

It's a cute drama I guess but I didn't like it much. Mainly because-
1. It could've ended in like 20 episodes. It was very dragged on, with lots of filler moments which are superfluous.
2. Lin Yi Yang - Zhang Fang Fang were far more interesting to watch yet they got very little screen time and their relationship development was underwhelming. Could've done more with their characters.
3. Xin Ya getting over Situ Feng and falling for MuNian was ridiculously rushed. For such a dragged drama, for a plot point to be over that fast was facedesk worthy.
4. The handling of Xin Ya's suicide attempt was really bad. It was offensive and honestly looked like they were making fun of the topic.

Beyond the Clouds (the one with Han Ji Hye and Yoon Kye Sang)
Goodbye Solo (the Chun Jung Myung drama from 2006 IIRC)

I'd replace everything on this list except On the Way to Airport with these 3 dramas. These 3 are really good melodramas and are so underrated that it's criminal!

Yeah I posted the comment 3 months ago, when it was uploaded nowhere anyway. Thanks for the alert though. I finished it. Kinda disappointed though, I looked for it for so long and it ended up being kinda meh especially the ending and I ended up hating the main leads especially Hai Qing. lol

Completely agreed. It should've been condensed. It went on for too long without much substance. Ko and Mr Beauty should've become a couple, and Yang Yang is far too perfect lol

It's SO ridiculous that after Addicted was released, the Chinese govt even banned the main leads from acting together in the future. If that's not tyranny then IDK what is (and on that note Xi can go choke on his own dik). Now, when I watch a Chinese BL I always expect one of the main character to die or for the relationship to be over by the final moment.

I hope someday Taiwan will produce a reboot of Addicted, Beloved Enemy and Advance Bravely. Especially the latter two because there was almost no BL in the original shows.
