I went into The East Palace with almost no expectations, and it completely blew me away.
The visual effects are stunning and actually serve the story instead of existing just for spectacle. The plot is filled with suspense, mystery, and twists that kept me invested from beginning to end. Every episode left me wanting to watch "just one more."
The chemistry between the leads is phenomenal—natural, emotional, and believable. But the biggest surprise for me was the King. His performance was outstanding and every scene he appeared in carried so much weight.
The fight choreography is incredibly well done, and there are several moments I'll definitely be rewatching.
What disappoints me most is that this drama isn't getting the attention it deserves. It has excellent writing, fantastic performances, beautiful cinematography, and production quality that rivals much bigger titles.
If you're looking for a fantasy drama with mystery, romance, action, and great acting, don't sleep on The East Palace. It deserves a much larger audience.
