Oh thank f*ck someone in this hellish comment section gets it. I was beginning to lose all hope for people to…
Really? But it's nonsense: "foil to her husband's character, to show her that not all men are assholes"...? Then why does Dr Roy act like an asshole later on, having petty fights with the husband, lowering himself on the doctors' excursion, competing etc.? Because the writing was awful.
My favorite scene in the whole drama has to be the mil opening the fridge while exclaiming her frustration at…
In contrast I'd like to nominate the stupidest scene. Dr Cha striding out of the shadows in her leathers.. was that supposed to be a wow moment? It was more like a second hand embarrassment moment. Cringe worthy.
Ha ha - agreed. Except your description of Dr Choi... I found her beautiful, definite milf. Like you say, the…
Right... she only spewed the words the writers put in her mouth though - her daughter was also selfish, but of course - only because the incompetent writer couldn't show any sympathy to the mistress and love child without making them look bitchy and entitled 🤷♀️. If it was written properly we'd be seeing things from another perspective at least.
where is the romance in this awful show? this damn love of this scoundrel in ho for his ugly mistress for a sane…
Ha ha - agreed. Except your description of Dr Choi... I found her beautiful, definite milf. Like you say, the writers had it in for In-ho and he blew it... and changed personality to suit the narrative. He starts off as said scoundrel, fed up with his wife, smitten with his mistress, and basically had his shit together... then transforms into a total love-lorn loser, crying over his wife, cold-shoulders the once-adored mistress... what's this writer on?
What do you think? I've seen two comments here that the FL didn't consider Roy anything other than a friend. She…
His character was written inconsistently. He starts off as very cool, calm and collected, tall and handsome, skilful and earnest - he and Dr Cha are definitely flirting, it was fun to watch. But later he's written as a petty, goofy, besotted nerd type (could be a feminist agenda - turn the men into fools instead of elevating the female on her own merits) and it got ridiculous to watch. Disappointed with the writing overall, the series started as a farcical comedy, ended in soulless melodrama. In contrast, when I watch The Good Bad Mother, I'm fully invested in those characters, it's moving, funny, you name it.
Dr Cha (about Dr Roy Kim): "From the very beginning, I couldn't see the two of us together" Coincidentally, neither could we - out of your league! Anyone who wants to see a bit more of Doctor Kim, he plays Oh Yeon-so's oldest brother in the marvellous Love With Flaws, it's funny.
what was the point of cha jin man being in the story and being the "main antagonist" if he was just going to leave…
The point? To drag a title out for as many seasons as possible... don't expect logic and do expect to see characters deviate from their natural personality traits whenever it suits the narrative.
The ratings has to by bots. Now way this show is above 8
It was... and now it isn't. I have a theory... the assistant writer quit half way through, exposing the head writer for what she really is... a no-talent that takes the credit for others' work. The narrative planted all its explosives, hit the ignition switch, and... 💨 nothing happened, at all, the characters start spewing platitudes to each other with some faux philosophy thrown in. First time I've seen a drama set itself up so well and backfire so badly. It's tedious and annoying at this stage.
A beautiful show, full of warmth and quirky, adorable characters that make you laugh and make you cry. Great quality again from jtbc, the cast and the crew.
Dr Cha started off very strong, I was loving it... but from the half way mark it descended into pure, repetitive soap opera, characters unraveling with inconsistencies, the whole plot fell apart without a bang when the truth came out and it's been anticlimactic to say the least. At the point I was supposed to feel something I just stared at the screen blankly with no warm feelings for any of them. Oh well. I mean, where did the cool, dashing Dr Roy Kim go? Boring. Who wrote this, are there two writers?
Pretty good, must admit I was thrown off when the lady started talking direct to camera half-way through, not exactly Fleabag, but worth a try I suppose.
