I see from her list she was a child actress, that's where it comes from. The brilliant children are coached and rehearsed to the max, it makes it hard to know what to do as a decision-making adult. There's one child actress evolving at the moment who's the real deal, she'll stand on her own feet.

Disclaimer, I'm not much of a fan of hubris. That would be writers that write about themselves - writer-lead-characters (could make an interesting MDL editorial). The protagonist is usually loathsome in one way or another - fake, self-righteous and narcissistic.

Saying that, it's not a bad drama, 6 episodes is pushing it with each episode at about 50 minutes. Not sure Se-young fits the character, I couldn't feel it from her. At first I thought maybe because she's acting in a foreign language - unless one really is comfortable with a language (regardless of accuracy) the emotions don't fit with the words and it can appear stilted. But she didn't seem too comfortable in Korean scenes either, no idea why, she's a good actor, perhaps something weighing on her.

No, you have to like romance, the fallout from it, and so on. It's all about romantic feelings, basically being human, making mistakes and misunderstandings - it depends what you mean about romance though. This is not joyful, it's downbeat.

Maybe I watch more Japanese TV but I'd say the opposite, he's been perfect and she's over acting. She's unnatural, maybe because most of her work's been in Japanese so far. Ever noticed when K-actors start doing scenes in English and they drop out of character, lose the rhythm and rhyme? I'm no expert, but maybe it's something like that, it can happen when a lot of extra work goes into the dialogue, the expression suffers a bit.
