lol, Calm down, not to mention there are other religions, so this is more accurate anyways
No, it's wrong. Literally. The girl speaks from her own perspective.
Paradise is not the same as heaven. Heaven is an existing word with the exact intended meaning (i.e. literal), and it translates across religions, no need to redefine words into something ambiguous - and for what reason??
All bears are animals, not all animals are bears. All heavens are paradises, not all paradises are heavens. Literally wrong in the English translation. Using the correct word in the target language is the only way, it's not the job of subtitlers to cater to snowflakes in the audience, accuracy is what's required.
i thought the transitions between scenes were a bit weird for kdrama standard. looked up this drama and apparently,…
Yes, great comment. A few signs already, an uncalled for smirk in the classroom, and perhaps some childhood jealousy yet to unravel, it's set up a simmering undertone in the first episodes.
Edit.. I forgot to say, what do you think of the parents? Reminded me of a Japanese movie I saw ages ago (no idea what it was called) where the parents had a few surprises in store.
The first two episodes were nothing special, typical happy and "Perfect Family" having it all only for everything…
I thought it was amazing. The psychopathic rage of the burn girl, the pathetic school bullies with adult males to back them up, the mostly classical music ost, and as lychee pointed out, the different style of direction. So much bubbling up. The only thing I disliked was the opening sequence spoiler, just to seat the audience, spoilt it a bit for me.
Is anyone else noticing some silly woke subtitling? 'deity' instead of God 'paradise' instead of 'heaven'? The thing is, these are lies. The kid is saying God and heaven, the subtitlers are lying to us.
Ha 😆 Disney's top 10 won't be corrupt at all. Was it the top 10 films beginning with "the" and ending with "tyrant". Must have been a close competition.
Disagree, I think that's unfounded. She's done her best work these past few years, starting with Start-up.
I hear you, maybe I'm more easy going because I wasn't really a fan of the old Suzy dramas and I know nothing about k-pop, but liked her since Start-up. I guess you were hoping to see her go from there to a top-tier tvn or jtbc weekender, let's see where things go, there are so many variables.

Can you try to be specific, unless you're being deliberately vague? Her past two would be Wonderland and Doona... I found Doona to be an extremely weak production, but without her it would have been a train wreck. Wonderland was quite good and she did well with the material she was given... the whole movie comprised of high profile talent though. If you're thinking of Anna, it was excellent (Director's version) and so was she - even though Jung Eun-chae stole the show, but that's how things go, JEC was indomitable.
