huh.. it didn't take long for the princess for a reality check. The water at Jinxiu is as much muddy as Susha.

The delivery from both leads were on point as well. I was giggling and kicking my feet the entire scene. lol

FL and her cat are chaos incarnate combo, in a good way lol

Really enjoying their sibling like dynamic.

I've seen her first in Time and Him Are Just Right and following her since then. She just got that charm and capable as well.

First 4 episodes is still world building stage. Main story hasn't really even taken off yet.

I like what I see so far, especially the dynamics between our main characters and their companions.

About the comedy and overall vibe, I'm sure it'll change along with the main story development. I won't worry about this yet. Some people seem to just have very different expectations from the initial episodes.

It's lighthearted and fun so far. Comedy is not overdone and delivered well as well. No overly annoying characters yet, even the sidekicks are loveable.

Leads got good chemistry, you'll see once you start, don't have to wait long.

Lu Yuxiao looks quite lovely here. ❤️

I'm digging everything about this drama so far. It's quite a fun watch. What I liked is while it's funny, the comedy is not overdone. It's pretty balanced to watch.

The chemistry is definitely chemistrying as well. 4 episodes in and we were already treated a lot. 🤭🤭

The emperor and FSG scenes were the scenes I look forward to the most right after the leads' scenes. The emperor character is layered and the actor nailed it perfectly. It was a joy to watch them.

Her husband's people are literally fighting with her brother and the first thing she did was protect her husband... girl is beyond saving 😂😂

Yixiao be like "I see, I like, I take"... no nonsense, straight to the point, claimed her hubby. uwuwwu 🤭💕😍

We saw it coming but damn it's gonna be infuriating to finally see it on screen. Go girl, we won't miss ya over there.

So far (ep16), we haven't hit the usual mid story lull yet. It's straight up full steam from ep1.

Try for a couple initial episodes. It's pretty entertaining. Also, FL is like one of the best female generals we've gotten in recent years, impressive performance.

It's pretty good so far. Real enemies to lovers, strong and smart leads, believable character developments and romance progression, a decent main plot, etc etc

I much prefer the current pace of developments anyday over half baked kiss though, so that we have solid prior developments and bonds between the characters to back it up when they finally get together.

FSG is being rebellious here, and his father is tacitly allowing it. Never imposing harsh punishment on FSG despite the current status quo.

To be fair, the 'current' Empress is the 'legal mother' of all princes and princess including the ones born from previous Empress, consorts, and concubines. So, by rules, FSG has to call her mother.
