It's pretty long btw, like 650 chapters. But, it's very worth the read if you can invest the time. I did like 2 weeks of almost non-stop binge reading. No drama watching, no other novels, just this one. lol

Romance is one of the focuses. It's pretty balance so far between romance, world building, and intrigues.

Watching FSG reminds me of the ML from Tyrannical Wang’s Beloved Wife, which is a novel without a drama adaptation. ML there was like sort of similar to FSG here, freaking powerful, doesn't give af to anyone in the realm including his dad the Emperor, and pampers his wife like there's no tomorrow. It was seriously a good read, and the best yandere ML I've ever come across.

Today's episodes (13 & 14) were seriously good. The pacing, the angst, the humour, the tension... everything was well placed and the acting, including from the support casts, were on point.

I've seen and read a lot of slow burn, and I'm really digging how it's developing here. It's well paced, believable, and engaging all at the same time.

I picked this drama to fill in the downtime if it's anything good. Now it's the drama I pick up first everyday haha. Fingers crossed it stays good in the second half.

I like how FL and ML have that mutual understanding that they can somewhat trust each other even though they are not the closest buddies yet.

Also, it's good to see FL isn't stubborn like a mule and asks for ML's help when it matters.

Since she's confronting XJS in ep 11 with the cliff event, wonder how the dynamic between them will develop into though. As we know with cdrama, there is non zero chance of them reconcilling in the middle part of the story.

So far, she's smart. Pursuing all the clues within her reach, and she knows ML is the only one whom she can somewhat trust in current state of affairs.

Story still doesn't reveal some deeply hidden characters, so those part she can't help for the time being.
