I don't think so, he asked Fu Yi Xiao to marry him, marrying the princess was not his idea, and he didn't seem…
I would not count this out. Because, even though the marriage decree came from his brother, it's not impossible to lead his brother's thinking process to the conclusion he desired through the court, harem, and people around his brother. With how scheming he is, everything is on the table.
I went and read the novel and I'm glad the drama seems to be just loosely adapting it.
While I liked what the novel offered, there's no way to sugarcoat Murong Qingyi.. dude is not even a red flag, he's wayy beyond it and straight up toxic.
I want to read that.. can you tell me where i can find it?
You can search with that title on novelupdates website. You can read other readers' reviews there so that you can get a sense of what you are getting into.
It's pretty long btw, like 650 chapters. But, it's very worth the read if you can invest the time. I did like 2 weeks of almost non-stop binge reading. No drama watching, no other novels, just this one. lol
Watching FSG reminds me of the ML from Tyrannical Wang’s Beloved Wife, which is a novel without a drama adaptation. ML there was like sort of similar to FSG here, freaking powerful, doesn't give af to anyone in the realm including his dad the Emperor, and pampers his wife like there's no tomorrow. It was seriously a good read, and the best yandere ML I've ever come across.
Today's episodes (13 & 14) were seriously good. The pacing, the angst, the humour, the tension... everything was well placed and the acting, including from the support casts, were on point.
I've seen and read a lot of slow burn, and I'm really digging how it's developing here. It's well paced, believable, and engaging all at the same time.
I picked this drama to fill in the downtime if it's anything good. Now it's the drama I pick up first everyday haha. Fingers crossed it stays good in the second half.
Right now for me, nothing will be more cathartic than witnessing the sister facing a reality check. This is a text book pig teammate who you just can't abandon.
she always has an attitude with him it's so annoying. my man needs some appreciation!
I actually like their current dynamic. She's just vigilant by nature. We can see she keeps his good points in her heart, and actually trust him despite their history. That already says a lot.
Same. I'm not trusting anyone aside from ML. The book XJS gave to FL is screaming sus in capital letter as well.…
I cheered at that hand washing scene. lol
Since she's confronting XJS in ep 11 with the cliff event, wonder how the dynamic between them will develop into though. As we know with cdrama, there is non zero chance of them reconcilling in the middle part of the story.

So far, she's smart. Pursuing all the clues within her reach, and she knows ML is the only one whom she can somewhat trust in current state of affairs.
Story still doesn't reveal some deeply hidden characters, so those part she can't help for the time being.
I would take seasoned actors anyday over baby faces who is not up for the role. I've been burnt too many time with those.

- in her amnesiac state
- surrounded by hidden enemies
- literally alone in an enemy country
That already says a lot imo. She's just vigilant by nature.
Also, it's good to see FL isn't stubborn like a mule and asks for ML's help when it matters.
