I like the drama's version of the postponed wedding night as well. A bit lighter tone compared to the novel.

The screen thing was a good touch though, lol. Didn't expect it at all, and was a good addition.

I'm almost at the end of the novel. So far, SM and DZ have a very harmonious marital life. They respect each other, and always communicate and discuss clearly.

He really loves DZ. He's the uncle who argued with the Dou family over Wang Ying Xue matter in ep2.

A LOT of changes there! But, I'm also excited for those changes. Since the script is doing really well so far, I would like to trust that they got it for the second half as well.

And how DZ being so embarrassed when she learnt SM found out she tailed him. I got you girl, I would be so embarrassed as well. 🤣🤣

Song Mo and his father-in-law gets along very well. Song Mo is very respectful towards FIL and FIL also loves him a lot because he knows Song Mo treats Dou Zhao very well.

Thank you! In the drama version, there's more reason for her to side with Dou Zhao since she's her family's benefactor.

Question about Miao An Su in the novel

I skipped the early parts of the novel so want to confirm this. Is Miao An Su in the drama an altered version of the character with the same name from the novel? Because, Miao An Su in the novel is introduced at chapter 400+ and is the wife of Song Han.

I'm assuming you were referring to events concerning DZ's marriage in ep17? In that case, it was never a national problem.

Song Mo being able to obtain the imperial decree for Dou Zhao was solely because of personal closed ties between the Emperor and Song Mo. It was a private favor from the Emperor to Song Mo.

The Emperor reprimanding Dou Zhao's Dad was primarily because Dad was a Minister who he sees in the imperial court on a daily basis. We can see the Emperor was talking to Dad privately, not during a court session. So, it's basically a light scolding given from boss to employee regarding his family scandal, kind of 'This kind of sh*t doesn't fit your image, sort it out'.

"DZ's goal is to live well, not revenge"... this should be pinned somewhere 😆

This alone explains a lot on why DZ did what she did.

Based on the ep 19 trailer, if I recall correctly, there seems to be changes to the events around the wedding as well. Looking forward to how it'll pan out in tomorrow's episodes!

DZ is team SM, so she fully assumes his stance toward his father, and by extension, to the whole Song family. SM's father threw a couple attempts toward DZ to undermine her, but was outwitted every single time.

I'm at 376/523. So far, no, WTY and DM's marital life is not looking good. DZ and DM are very bitter toward each other as well. Jealousy toward DZ took her over basically.

But, we gotta watch and see whether the drama will make changes or adapt it as it is.

I'm only about 2/3 into the novel, but Wei Tingyu and Dou Ming are falling out hard already. Not sure the drama will adapt it as it is.
