Does anyone knows when Esther IQYI contract ends? I guess because she's their global ambassador, it explains why her 2 upcoming dramas and her latest ones are all from IQYI. Don't get me wrong they seem to have great dramas for their actors but I kind of have enough of them 😅😅😅

Yup this has been my experience too from watching Cdramas. Tencent is the best out all of these platforms with promo which is why I prefer my faves to do more Tencent dramas.

They just basically air dropped it and call it a day😒😒😒. Esther is IQYI global ambassador so I don't even understand how they couldn't put more effort in promoting it? IQYI sucks with promotion in general 😒😒😒. I was also lamenting on Seven's page how the unclouded soul didn't get an offline event either 🙃🙃. Offline events are great for promo.
If Esther didn't film tons of tiktok videos, took a lot of pics, did the lives with Heyu and some of the casts we would have been even worse off😅😅. It seems like they just let the promo be the responsibility of the actor which is unfair.

I'll never forget how Abay aired ( as beautiful as you) and I kid you not the 2 first episodes barely aired and there were already a lot of reviews giving it low ratings. I was flabbergasted and it was my 1st time I witnessed something like this here . So there are people who purposely down rate a lot of dramas here for whatever reasons... not just that one: they don't like the CP, or 1 of the actors....and it sucks because their ratings affect the overall rating as a whole. I wished in 2026 mdl would do something about the way some of these reviews work because a lot them don't always reflect the true quality of the work ..a lot of people down rate a drama here just to be spiteful.

She went on live with her ML 3 times I think...1 not face to face and 2 times with him present and some of the other casts online. It seems like with IQYI if you don't take it upon yourself to promote your dramas on your own, they just left you dry 😒😒 IQYI didn't have an offline event for SAL too 🙃🙃🙃.
I even remember Road to home with Seven, another IQYI drama .. .I think that they had a small offline event where the ML only participated... I think that Seven had other commitments.
Not sure if story of kunning palace with Bailu , zhanlighe was a IQYI drama but they had a IQYI variety show so I'm assuming it was. I think that this may be the last time I saw that they promoted 1 of their dramas well. If I'm not mistaken they had an off-line event. Neo other drama too... Youth something.....
I read that Seven, Neo and a few of the casts will be doing a Livestream tonight to promote the drama. I guess it's is what it's 😅😅😅.
Oh we're definitely not getting an offline event for Xiao Yao. I saw Neo itinerary for this month and there's nothing there that mentions it....same with seven.
Neo and seven was such a highly anticipated collaboration especially because they seem to be already friends before filming and not only that but this drama took a long time to air .....I guess it's what it's.......

IQYI tends to sucks in general promotion wise ( I see it with their other dramas too......unless you're an actor who takes it upon yourself to promote on your own, you'll be left to your own devices 🙃🙃) but this is 1 of the worst yet I've seen from them 😒😒.
This is why I tend to prefer Seven to do more Tencent dramas. I just know that the promo for Against the current is going to go crazy.
