An Excellent Filipino BL
This short Filipino BL series is a continuation of Inseparable the Series; which I also liked. The acting was quite good all the way around; especially by actors Rod Grande Corpuz and Cris Jay Cabides; with several good plot lines to enjoy. My only complaint would be the relatively short length of series; since I would have preferred more episodes; otherwise it was a very good Filipino BL series with a high rewatch value. I have already watched this series three times now looking for things I missed the first two times I watched it.Was this review helpful to you?
An Interesting Mix of BL Drama and Science Fiction
This Filipino series is an interesting mix of BL drama and science fiction, with some very capable actors, (especially Rod Grande Corpuz and Cris Jay Cabides) and an interesting plot that keeps you guessing; although you really won’t begin to understand what is actually going on until you finish episode 3 of the series. To my mind, the production value was quite good; considering this is a low budget series, and it is definitely worth watching again once you’ve finished the series; as it will all make sense to the viewers at that point.

An Excellent Low Budget Filipino Series
This series has a lot going for it; including a beautiful setting, great editing, and nice cinematography; not to mention some great acting from most of the cast members; of which Rod Grande Corpuz, Cris Jay Cabides and Axl Romeo deserve particular mention for some great performances. If I had to point to something that could be improved, I would say the length of the series; both in terms of each episode and the number of episodes; as the story seemed to be pressed for time there at the end (in episode 4). Given the fact that it was produced on such a small budget however; I think the writer / director of Beautiful Scars deserves a lot of praise for the success of the series; along with the young and obviously talented cast of actors.

A Fairly Good Pinoy BL
I wasn’t expecting too much from this low budget Pinoy BL series when I decided to watch it, so I was pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be fairly good. The acting was generally good all around, but I think actor Cris Jay Cabides who played Carl’s friend did a particularly good job; along with actor Rod Corpuz who played the role of Kevin. The storyline could have used some development, and it would have been better with an additional episode or two, but the viewers can follow what is happening most of the time. The production value was also quite good for a low budget mini series and the sets were certainly adequate. I would, and probably will watch this Filipino BL again. Was this review helpful to you?
A Fairly Good Pinoy BL
Before watching this series, I took note of the fact that this series includes most of the cast members from the Pinoy BL Indigo, (which I didn’t like at first, but later came to like) but in this BL the characters; especially the handsome Rod Corpuz who played Mico and Cris Jay Cabides who played Miguel seem much kinder and easier to relate to. The production quality of this BL is also much better, with a beautiful setting and the storyline was good as a BL romance series. The setting is the countryside of the Philippines; where Mico finds himself getting restless and wanting to visit the city to pursue success, but will that mean leaving his boyfriend behind? Was this review helpful to you?
Off to a great start
I really loved the first episode of this musical Pinoy BL the two leads are both great actors who appear to have the chemistry to pull off their roles as a couple. The storyline is also pretty good; although there is some room for improvement in terms of the secondary characters lines (turn it up a notch writers). I liked the songs that were showcased in this episode, and this also reflects on the actors who are singing. Someone obviously did a good job with the casting in this respect as well. I know that the writers are trying to maintain a degree of mystery surrounding the princes sudden departure from his own country, but the background to this really needs to be addressed soon for the story to progress better. I can’t wait for the second episode, as the first was much better than I expected it to be.Was this review helpful to you?
