Which made me respect more in this drama is where it has given a lot of moral and social messages which are very inspiring to the audience.
For the most part in the relationship between couples, this drama has some great female characters who always support their partners, such as; Xiao Yuanyi to General Cheng, Sang Shun Hua to Cheng Zhi, Both Empress Xuan and Yue to Emperor Wen, Wan Qiqi to Cheng Song, and especially Shaoshang to Zisheng.
This reminds me of a proverb: "Behind every successful man there is a woman."
And I personally agree with this. But hangs on. I'll give another version too...
'Behind every successful man there is a woman, who laid a firm foundation with the bricks that others threw at him.'
AND
'Behind every successful woman there is a man, who believed in her when nobody else did.'
And what the fun part is... Every successful person on this galaxy especially upon the planet earth, looked at their partner with a lot of pride and never believed in compartmentalizing them based on their gender. It doesn't really matters whether its a Man or a Woman... The game changes, when that 'one person' walks into your life, when everyone else walks out. That's it!

Who is able to be the person who remains the same with the all tragedies that have befallen to her?
When in hua county she peeked at LBY massacring the rebels, she was shaking and scared. She also saw HZJ behead prince xiao infront of her eyes, she turned around in shock and wanted to run. And when her saw the massacre at the Ling residence, I guess she is no longer the same girl who collapsed the bridge at the wang's manor.
She no longer trembled in fear or turned to run. But she was there holding back her own bitterness watching all Ling Bu Yi's insanity.
Ep 52. We got everybody gets married and having children except for our main couple? Even Lianfang gets wedding…

Btw, from the LJT scene, I saw a character development in Zisheng. Where Zisheng, who was once known to be merciless, at least this time has used persuasive solutions first to break LJT's cunning scheme that wants forces Zisheng to marry her. And although Zisheng already knew that LJT herself who had killed her husband in the west, he was in no hurry to act head-on.
Likewise, from Shaoshang's side, the character tends to be calm but remains vigilant when LJT keeps trying to provoke her emotions by constantly bringing up LJT and Zisheng's personal relationship.
