I guess from Toto's perspective, he's sure that Kanit will break up with Lion as soon as he finds out about the cheating (as one should). For him, Kanit is practically already single. Or maybe he believes that cheating on a cheater doesn't count/serves him right. I don't agree with this though because as long as Kanit is officially still with Lion, Toto's behavior is inappropriate.

From what I can tell Kim Bum usually takes on ML roles when they don't involve much romance (like in Law School or Ghost Doctor) and prefers being the second lead in romantic series. He especially thrives in the bromance genre, so maybe he just feels more comfortable acting with men

I think you're spot on! They can kind of predict it with this show since the first season was such a success, but I don't think they expected the hype surrounding Me and Thee to this degree. Even if this series was originally supposed to air right afterward, they might've postponed it to milk every profit of MaT first

Same and also I'd love for them to get another trope than enemies to lovers... especially since they're never actual enemies, their characters only like to bicker a lot. Make them start out as friends, fwb, real enemies full of hatred, or even a love at the first sight story could be interesting.
