Title Last Twilight Spoiler
Day dumping Mhok was very very irrational and extreme. I could see them (no pun intended) arguing about Mhok not…
I don't think it was as simple as Mhok just wanting to stay with his boyfriend. He had previously only worked as a chef in Porjai's little cafe, and suddenly he had the great opportunity to work in a 5-star restaurant in the USA. A chance like this would probably never happen again - remember, he was just invited to compete for the position
due to a personal connection to the resort owner. Of course he wanted to go! This was very evident from the start, and even when he took the call to decline the offer, you could see the sadness in his eyes.
He absolutely made this decision not out of love, but out of fear.
As for Day, he misinterpreted Mhok's answer, but not completely. Yes, his behavior was due to his past trauma, but in doing so he actually didn't treat Day like he was on the same level - he almost put himself in a parental role (I know what's best for you, you need me to function). It hurt Day deeply that Mhok didn't see him as capable of dealing with his absence or even with the news of the offer, as he had made up a lie instead of speaking directly about it. They could've both gone to Hawaii or entered a long-distance relationship, but Mhok didn't want to consult this with Day because he feared it would upset him (again Mhok decides for Day that he is not able to handle this information well and would be better off not knowing it at all). Day is not made of glass, he's not a kid, he should've been treated equally or else it's not a real relationship.
For that reason, I completely understand Day breaking up with him.
But I wish he had acknowledged Mhok's trauma too, maybe in the final episode...

I actually liked the last episode (especially P'Aof's cameo haha). And this was by no means a short episode but I still feel like it was a bit rushed.

It would have been helpful to see more about what happened in the three years they spent apart, to actually witness their character development and how they became independent. Maybe we could have seen more of Night and Phojai as well and how they progressed in their relationship, I would have loved that.
I also found it too quick for Day to reject Mhok (even more so after they had some semi-romantic moments beforehand), but just a few minutes later he is convinced to trust Mhok again through a short conversation with his mother, which seems too abrupt for such a big decision. He could have struggled a little longer with it.
I liked the scene at the airport because it didn't go the way you would have expected, but when did Mhok decide to stay and return for the wedding? And why did Night suddenly know about this?
As for the eye donation, while it makes sense for Day to be able to see again (and I'm very happy for him), the way it's introduced again feels too quick/abrupt. Maybe this is unrealistic, but if he saw more day by day and it was a gradual process, the viewers would have had more time to get used to the non-blind Day... I was so used to him being blind that his sighted self felt weird and unfamiliar, as if he was a completely new character that I didn't even know yet.
Lastly, I personally would have liked to see more of Mhok and Day living together and actually functioning as an independent couple this time.

I think the episode should have been split into two instead (this episode ending with Day meeting Mhok in the wedding hall and the next episode having them reconcile, Day gradually leaving his blindness behind and them moving together).
I still got emotional though and thoroughly enjoyed watching it - the ending scene was a perfect choice for the series. Still a 10/10 for me

Yes to all of that, except I actually kind of liked the airport scene - it was a realistic take on all the airport scenes I've seen before in countless other movies/series, where you expected them to catch Mhok just before takeoff but then it turns out they don't

I do wonder why people think just because Day got his sight back that the entire messsage got ruined. If he had…
💯 plus from the beginning they showed him as someone who had recently lost his sight, there were a lot of flashbacks to the past when he could still see... It wasn't like he was born blind or anything. It was pretty clear to me that he would be able to see again, but I'm happy with him living life to the fullest as a blind person before he gets the cornea donation.

So I watched this episode a second time and these are my thoughts:Day wants Mhok to pursue his dreams and live…
At the start of the series I thought Day needed Mhok the most, but it turns out Mhok needed Day just as much, if not more, all along. I think part of him sees caring for Day as a way to make up for Rung's death, which he obviously hasn't gotten over yet.
This series aims to show that a healthy relationship is two independent people choosing to be together, not two people who can't function without each other.

So I watched this episode a second time and these are my thoughts:
Day wants Mhok to pursue his dreams and live his best life - I was actually really surprised and impressed at how easily he supported Mhok going abroad for his career and how quickly he was able to let him go for his own good. But at the moment of the argument, he doesn't have enough empathy for Mhok's trauma of Rung's death (only in this situation because he was considerate in previous mentions of Rung).
Mhok, on the other hand, is as empathetic towards Day as ever, but to the point where he sees Day's problems as bigger and more dangerous than they really are and doesn't really notice Day's progress in his independence. Unlike Day, he is so protective of him that he can't let go of him, almost wanting to control him.
Another detail I just noticed was that Mhok probably didn't expect Day to break up with him over this fight. There is visible surprise in his expression (also great acting from Jimmy and Sea, by the way).
Day's separation from him over a single mistake is very reminiscent of his mother's separation from his father many years ago - it was just one mistake, but not one they could overlook...

Also I think Day is in the process of accepting his disability (the scene with a cane) and is about to realise…
I think so too. Plus the scene with the cane is actually really important because it shows what Night told his mum later: That Day is becoming more and more independent. Basically hinting that Mhok could have taken the opportunity...

I think he's still blind at this point and probably used the walking stick before/after the escalator...

Honestly, as much as I'm sad about the breakup (I'm counting on P'Aof to give us a happy ending), this was a really well thought out conflict for a breakup in terms of scriptwriting. It's not a contrived, superficial misunderstanding like I've seen in many other shows, but it has deep meaning for both characters.
I could completely understand Mhok's fear and overprotectiveness that came from the trauma of losing his sister because he hadn't been there for her, but I could also 100% understand Day, whose only wish had always been to be treated as a normal person, and on an equal level. This was truly a time when I couldn't choose a side in an argument.
In this very episode, we can see Day telling Mhok that he knows he won the dance award out of pity, but he is okay with it because at least he can always know that Mhok won't treat him any differently. At the same time, Mhok's fear for Day's safety is reinforced by his dream and his panicked search for Day during the accident at the resort and later that day when he could not find him.
Both traits have been consistent with the characters since the first episode. Very good scriptwriting indeed.

Okay so it's been a while since I saw the previous season, but what is/was the drama with the FL's (Cha Eun Jae)…
I don't remember the exact details either but I think one of the patients Seo Woo Jin operated on in season 2 had had a previous surgery done by Cha Eun Jae's brother and he found out that they made some kind of mistake which the patient didn't even know about...

This might sound evil but if the last 2 eps are how Day gets successful transplants and can see again, and the…
Same it would ruin the depth of the story but I'm 99% sure that's not going to happen

How could they do that to the book? They could have just swapped it... 🤦‍♀️I was thinking: it's loose,…
That was my first thought as well, but I feel like it's meant to be symbolic in a way... Day's book was incomplete, but now her book is too. And even if they attach the page, it's always obvious that it was once torn out

You know about the speculations that Day might get his eyes back, right? One of the "contenders" for donor is…
Someone posted a link to the English translation of the novel here, so I read it...

MAJOR SPOILER

I liked how they solved it in the novel: First Day gets a transplant, but the operation is unsuccessful, he still can't see. Then he works on becoming independent and living his life to the fullest (like Master Aon), and later the second donation is finally successful and he can see again... But there was no mention of Mhok or Night donating their eyes (or dying), so I wouldn't worry too much about it

Unless, of course, the actual series goes a completely different route

The way Mhok knelt down and re-enacted the engagement was too much for my heart... At this point, all I wish for is a double wedding of Mhok&Day and Night&Porjai in the final episode
If that were to happen, I don't know how to increase the rating any further since it's already a 10

I mean, I don't see Gee kissing Day just because she is good friends with Day. August may not be a bad person,…
Yes but Gee also didn't overhear Day saying that he likes her right?
And I agree that August is dumb and immature... he needs to learn from his mistake

Unpopular opinion, but I don't hate August. His actions had a pretty bad outcome, but why does everyone act like he intentionally wanted to break Day's heart?
He likes Day so much (platonically) that he tried to force himself to love him back...obviously not a good idea. But in the end he put Day's happiness above his own happiness - wasn't that essentially what Mhok did too?
Of course August is stupid for not knowing that feelings can't be forced. He'd better apologize and be friends with Day again in the future.
I'm not completely defending him, but I feel like he really wanted Day to be a little happier and to "help" him in any way he could, and this had the exact opposite effect...he was really upset about it too, almost cried when saying that he couldn't do it

That August guy make my nerves cracking and my blood start boiling now!!! How can he make Day like that??? Day…
My theory is that August actually didn't mean to stand Day up (he was so nice to him when they talked, he said that he'll always be his partner and doesn't want anybody else), maybe something really bad happended like an accident? And he might have come to the bar to ask about Day, the same way Day wanted Mhok to ask whether August still showed up... It would make sense for him to visit Day to apologize and explain what happened
But we have to wait until the next episode to find out

I always wondered why he is not doing that with the eyedrops....
Even with the eye drops he has to come really close and he doesn't want Mhok to know so that's why he waited for the perfect moment
Really a beautiful scene

Not trying to nitpick but during ep 2 , the scene where mhok kicks the door open and goes into days room bothers…
Day didn't really hear the noise, he had earbuds on (because he didn't want to hear Mhok's screaming earlier and was most likely trying to relax with some music)
I guess he just felt the force of the shock after the door was kicked in...that put him on a bit of alert so he got up
He managed to do this effortlessly because it's his bathtub - he's probably bathed there hundreds of times and therefore knows its dimensions pretty well
I also interpret him saying "who is it" as a way of asking "is there anyone?" because he didn't really know what to think about the situation or what was really happening
So he actually didn't know that someone was standing right in front of him
And I believe that he was able to grab the towel so quickly because he was the one who placed it, so he knows exactly where it is
