I guess it wouldn't make sense for them to keep their memories. They were in the liminal space between life and death, what happened there should not be remembered if they choose to continue living

I love Chishiya, he was the only reason i thought this was interesting. Also I actually found Akane interesting too, she was definitely a mean girl irl, but dang I was impressed with her strong as hell will to live

Frankly, I find it hard to believe Akane managed to survive having that many rounds of bullets shot right through her, but I guess she has plot armour and is a very very resilient person

So essentially, they got pulled to the liminal space between life and death after the meteorite explosion, and whoever survives the games chooses whether to live in the borderland or go back to reality without their memories of the games. So are all the game makers all initially players who had died in real life? Who even started all these games in the first place?
