I feel that FL acts pretty unreasonable sometimes? Like I get that she's mad she had to disband the Cui army and made her dad go crazy, but with her amazing foresight, weren't these all things she must've considered before? It's crazy to me how she blames everything on ML even though she must've known this wasn't what he wanted either, and she must've also predicted these things to happen .. Since she wanted ML so badly to become Crown Prince, she would've also guessed the outcome of this
Omg Lady Concubine killing the Governor with a poisoned kiss is just amazing (nvm he's not dead)
Also I absolutely despite characters like LiuChengFeng, they're literally the most despicable people ever, using 'love' as a reason to do all kinds of evils and hurting the one they're supposed to care most about. How very hypocritical. I knew him dying at the river would've been the best ending, but he had to come back, at least he did one good thing before actually dying
Lady Gu too, I hate that she's doing all the perfectly nice and kindest things for ML under the guise of 'love' and 'admiration', when all she's really aiming for is ML's title and position ..
She dumps him and he gives in. He has fallen which is good but so much that she is playing him.I donno her emotions…
I get it honestly, I love FL for her cunningness and ambition, but also feel bad for ML. I love them individually, but I feel like their relationship isn't my cup of tea
It’s disappointing how some viewers flatten Cui Lin into a ‘manipulative female lead’ trope, overlooking…
Oh she's definitely manipulative and cunning, but that's what makes her so special to ML, he loves that about her.
I would say this series isn't entirely my cup of tea, especially seeing ML being head over heels and doing everything for FL with little reciprocation (not FL's fault in the least), it's so true that the one who falls first loses. But when they put their heads together for each other's sake, it becomes so so much more enjoyable for me

Good practice, I also don't give actual ratings if I've dropped a series. I really dislike when people who didn't actually finish the whole series, give it a bad rating which pulls down the average score. It should be common sense to only give a mark after you actually watched the full drama
It is Yakuza boss and his underling. What are you expecting? a rule abide pure heart consent asking gangster?…
I wasn't expecting anything, doesn't change the fact that it's not right. At least I didn't think there would be any non con between the actual couple.
4 lifetimes together, each interwoven very beautifully. The story itself may not have been top-tier amazingness, but i love love LOVE their relationship, super refreshing and unique, and I've watched so many cdramas/kdramas before. Never seen salted fish representation before, so FL just made it to one of my favourites, and ML is also refreshingly childish yet mature yet cool at the same time, it's just the perfect combination.
The plot isn't good enough to give it a 9, and annoying and stupid characters like FengQi made me knock off 0.5, but 8/10 just for their gorgeous relationship story
Hahaha for me, I think it's less about brainless or smart in this series, more like FL is just the embodiment…
Yeah scrap that, dang it FL just tell ML something's wrong with your core, like this is pretty damn worth it for him to be worried over. Also stop friggin trusting that FengQi dude omg. Both of them need to stop hiding stuff from each other dammit
Random thought, but 18 years is a weirdly specific number to show us their reunion. It honestly made me think for a sec that both of them actually died and was reincarnated somehow in the demon realm, and they made it 18 so she was of age haha
Ok seems like they did do the 19 years precisely because of this reason though

Actually, i just got to the later half of the story, i think FL is quite smart and logical honestly, she doesn't easily believe anything people tell her and tries to find out the truth herself

Please tell me they dont try to force in a romance
