Classic Chinese Melodrama

I like melodrama, so i liked this...until the last episode. It felt super rushed and like it should have had more episodes but got cut short. After all they went through, the last 5 minutes was it?! Despite the ending, i do recommend watching if you enjoy classic chinese melodramas. It's full of tropes; misunderstanding, intrigue, scandals, blackmail, family crisis, betrayal. All the usual things. You'll love some characters and really hate others. Some things will probably make you angry and some will be super satisfying. All in all, I would recommend this to seasoned cdrama viewers, but maybe not to newbie fans.

Anothe hit from Rosie!

I'm a fan of Zhao Lusi and this is one of my fave roles of hers, perhaps only second behind Dating in the Kitchen (with Galaxy and Rule the World close contenders, aswell). I really have no notes, this was close to perfection. It was perfectly cast, perfectly acted, perfectly produced. The romantic chemistry between the lead couple was perfectly sweet and the platonic chemistry between all the other characters was perfectly compatible. Overall, PERFECT! No need to hestitate, you won't regret the time spen watching this drama!

A Suspenseful Vertical Short

This is the first non product commercial driven drama I've watched Jiang Shi Qi in. I've seen many of here comedy shorts and really like her physicality and timing. This was a departure from her regular style. Here she plays a blind wife to a law enforcement husband who has some unsavory motivations for being with her. Due to an accident, she regains her eye sight and starts seeing her husband for who he truely is. She starts on a journey to reclaim her life and bring revenge to those who have wronged her.
