Hi Linda, I'm afraid I've only seen DramaCool has this with subs, and the subs are bad 😑. This drama isn't popular, it probably won't get proper subs.... Maybe you can try requesting for it with Viki or check subtitles sites/forums if anyone did do the subs for this?

Yes it is Taiwanese drama, but in Chinese language.... why is it so hard to understand 😓 Korean dramas are in Korean, Japanese dramas are in Japanese, Chinese dramas are in Chinese. It is not referring to which country, but the language the drama is in.

Ahhh that would be too extreme 😅 There's a lot of tax revenue and global representation through films and dramas which the China gov will be a fool to give up on. Probably more guidelines and restrictions, but won't be complete cancellation. In a way this can be good, as it cleans out the top bosses and let smaller players into the game.

Haha.... You are very observant!! The scriptwriter has joined Stealth Walker discussion group at douban and revealed the story is inspired by a true drug case that was in the news back in 2009. Hence they set the story in 2009.

As China authorities is doing a crackdown in c-ent, some public has taken the opportunity to band together to express that actors are becoming too soft looking, too feminine.... The fear is this can affect the release of BL and dramas with double male leads. And these 2 MLs are quite "soft looking" 🙄

Tbh the background music is okay for me.... I watched her review too, and she was annoyed that the background music is "recycled" from Story of Yanxi Palace. Well.... the music team and singer for the intro and ending songs is the same singer who sang for Yanxi Palace too, so the music and songs are indeed very similar.
