yup, they often announce the rest of the cast a month or 2 after the Male/female lead (in this case Seo Kang Joon was already announce 2 month ago) so they'll most probably announce it this month (with the female lead)

he's last project was announce in June 2024 (Undercover Highschool / 12ep) started filming in July and was out for February 2025 (so they had 7 months to film it and release it, they finished some scene in February while it was already out weakly), so for this one, if they announce the female lead this month and start filming next month they have about 7 month (same amount and it's also 12 ep) so who knows (it's possible if they announce the cast this month and start filming early February)

haven't watched it either, it's a historical Rom-Com but I saw some scenes of her acting some "Sad" "emotional" scenes in it and she would be perfect for a Melodrama, she delivered those scenes so well and acts emotional crying scenes so perfectly

it's a really good chance for Kim Sejeong to explore more genres as she never did a Melodrama (would be her first melodrama and help her expand her future project choices)

they're gonna be 2 Male leads and 2 Female leads (which normally should make them have enough budget for the Male lead and Female lead if we take away the Second leads) Kim Taeri and Kim Sejeong are both free, both have no upcoming kdramas or kmovies. So who knows.. they might take it.. and if they don't, I just wish it's gonna be someone that can match SKJ well

ngl, I Really want Shin Haesun, Kim Taeri, Park Gyu Young, Kim Sejeong or Park Eunbin too take the female lead role, someone who has that mature look and acting

I Really hope it's Shin Hae-Sun, and I don't think she's that busy (I think she already finished filming her last works for 2026 if I'm not wrong so it's still possible) beside her (available or possible actresses) Sejeong, Moon Ka young, Lee Sung Kyung, Park Gyu Young, Yoona, Taeri, Kim Ji-Eun could really work (good acting and all)
