Wang An Yu is such a good actor but I would say he hasn't been blessed with the best script choices.. He had three really beautiful dramas by 2022 but then nothing that great after that.. He has an upcoming drama, I Live in Your Time with Zhang Ruo Nan, which is sort of at the top of my upcoming dramas list.. I have really high expectations for that one..

Her dramas after this one have been good choices.. Mostly not romance focused, which probably suits her better.. But she is a really good actress nonetheless.. Even though I haven't watched her drama The Lead, I have seen the reviews and some clips and she was very very good.. I hope to see more of her but yeah maybe not in dramas where that kind of chemistry and passion is such an important part of the story..

Fair point.. What I meant was that the visual representation of the Realm of Gwi reminded me of Stranger Things.. My intention was never to criticize the drama or accuse it of copying anything.. I definitely wasn't trying to say that the script or its concepts were influenced by Stranger Things or any other work..

See.. Some dramas balance the MLs abilities with court politics and real consequences.. Others go all in on making the lead nearly invincible almost fantasy like legendary figure.. Because majority of the people like that stuffs..

It's sort of the norm for them to make their characters overpowered.. And it's not just the male leads.. There are plenty of female leads who are so overpowered that it doesn't make much sense either.. But thats just how it is..
