I have a hard time being sympathetic with Rit.
At first I could understand that we can all have bad ideas .... but the more it goes the more I feel unsettled because I keep thinking "tell him the truth now !"
... honestly, I don't know if a good relationship in real life could start with one decieving the other. :(
Very complicated. Couples are cute. Story is not revolutionnary but it's fine and goes rather smoothly ...
... but if at first I could think Ritt just acted on the spot and didn't double think before just thinking it was a good idea and the only chance to get closer to his crush ... (plus alcohol)
But the more it goes the more when they are together I feel like saying "Sweetie ! now ! talk now ! say you are sorry, explain that you didn't meant to lie .... JUST TELL THE TRUTH"
Mostly because I would NOT be able to look at the one I like knowing we are not having the same updates AT ALL ! So I have hard time enjoying their 'love story' as I am focused on the monster under the bed.
... anyway that's the plot ... backfire will come ...
Imagine the poor sound editors having to edit each and every second of this series, just to end up with something…
I do think it's getting out of hand and ... at some point I feel like ... it's implying that actors are not good enough to deliver the emotions so we have to explain with sounds how you have to feel about this or this situation ?
Or is it because viewers are considered too stupid to understand on their own and they need sonor signal ?

But I do like Ouyang straightforwardness ... I was expecting of him to turn into a pretty dull character only here as a foil for Chen Ke so I found it very endaering to see him turn the table around and just take control of his life with the cards he has in his game. It rally gave a lot of color for his character and actually also gave another level for Li Ming character ... I loved Li Ming answer "You will tell me on which day I can ask you" (to date) it was a very cute level of "whatever, anyway I won't let go" I like thick skinned character.
We need Ouyang to teach class to Yu Lei and Chen Ke on how TO SHIFT INTO SECOND GEAR !
I think it would help them ... 💕
But to be honest when I started this drama I was expecting something way more modest and very much slow burn with a strong in a chest in the closet vibe. The developpement is just getting me surprised at each episode.

If Yu Lei had half of the quarter of Ouyand outward attitude ... we would have one happy couple way much faster (but then I guess they wouldn't know what to do for the remaining episode beside having everybody running happily and rolling on a field of flower XDD )
it's always the second couple that's makes me giggle to the core you can't ignore the 2nd couple in BL series…
A good second couple can save bad main couple and a good second couple with a good main couple is the proof that it was done properly over quantity or over NC bombing.
And earlier comment someone also felt like it was like a show she/he had seen.
Maybe just a genre. Still I am curious about the show you mentionned now.
