I've watched MR 3 times all the way through and now I drop in just to watch Xu Kai's scenes. I'm currently watching Glory, but I still find myself going back to Moonlit Reunion, just for a few episodes of Xu Kai.

Ep 26 Would an unfeeling monk purposefully kiss someone deeply and passionately with the intention of making his perceived rival jealous? And he stares daggers every time he sees Book Boy.
Ep 30 Did you see his tears drop onto the divorce papers? Oh, my heart.
No. He's not Gu Yanzhen. He's a repressed man who has opened his heart to love. A small smile was a huge leap for Mei Zhuyu.
I don't think this drama lends itself to many playful, light-hearted moments, unlike the projects you listed. And it doesn’t appear to be a romance, which would affect his dynamic with the FL actress.
You need to give the guy a break and not be so negative. He went through a lot and has gotten through it.

Have you seen the BTS clips for Strange Tales? Looks like lots of action scenes for Xu Kai. I'm really looking forward to this drama. Of course, that could be said for all XK dramas.
The damage has already been done smh.....at least he didnt suffer from it longterm.
But it opened the door for the gullible and the willing to believe the lies spewed last year. There's a cumulative effect that must have hurt him personally.
