I asked some friends in the industry. #BaiLu will not renew her contract with Huanyu when it expires and will…
Why does she have to wait? Xu Kai's been taking the mud-slingers to court for the past year or two. He just won another case today. The punishment is negligible and takes a year to get a result.
I hope Bai Lu and XK both leave when their contracts expire. Yu Zheng is trash.
@baifan, I think you're right, to get more popularity, he shouldn't reject that genre. I would argue if he were…
With a fan like you ...🙄
Xu Kai wants to improve himself as an actor. Why does that bother you? How does that impact your life? Why get worked up about it? If you truly appreciated Xu Kai's acting, you'd at least watch a few episodes of each of his dramas and give them a chance.
Throwing dirt on Eight Hundred is unfanworthy. From what I can see, it's more than holding its own within its genre. And it's bringing Xu Kai's acting abilities more recognition than any other project has, as far as I can tell.
You seem to prefer dramas where Xu Kai's characters frequently appear infrequently. Much as I like Moonlit Reunion, his screentime in that drama was disgraceful.
There are 3 actors I follow on cdramas, baijingting, xukai and Yang yang. All of them are doing serious dramas but…
Xu Kai started acting for his family's financial security. I'm guessing he's saved enough to take care of them so he's now able to focus on his career instead of churning out costume dramas where he appears rarely.
I don't watch modern Chinese dramas very often, but I will always watch whatever Xu Kai appears in.
all 3 of them are in their 30s now and have done many romance themed dramas. I’m sure they want to challenge…
I don't know about other countries, but FIYS is the only Xu Kai drama on Netflix U.S., which helps give it that international boost. It's cute and Xu Kai's charisma is on full display, but it doesn't really showcase his acting abilities.
I don't know when I would have discovered Xu Kai if it hadn't been for Netflix running Once Upon a Time in Lingjian Mountain a few years ago.
Once Mei Zhuyu admitted his love for Wu Zhen, the floodgates that had so carefully controlled his emotions and ability to experience life were destroyed. Even before that, it became apparent that her life was more important than his lifelong desire for revenge.
After confessing his feelings, he told (actually, it was a warning) her she could never abandon him.
Finding out what was wrong with Wu Zhen and helping her was certainly worth risking a demon's life. He did risk his own life for her more than once.
So, no, there was no sudden heel turn in Mei Zhuyu's character. It was bottled up and kept under control until she introduced him to "this messy life."
I'm probably just being paranoid.

Loving Mo Li!

If anyone knows which instance this case refers to, please share.
I'm looking forward to the results of the Xu Lisha case. Since she made a variety of claims, I hope she gets more than a slap on the wrist.
5000 yuan. What a joke.
Mei Zhuyu had some fun, assertive moments.🫠
I'm excited about both upcoming dramas.
I don't think I could handle another Eight Hundred anytime soon. But an out-and-out villain? Bring it on!
I don't feel the need to tell Xu Kai what roles he should or shouldn't take. I support him because I think he's a brilliant actor.
Let him choose his own path.

Thank you, Netflix!
I would love a second season!
