Ryan Cheng got my attention in Queen of Attack already (both instalments). He is doing well. Just as here. The FL is new to me, she is good. What a nice surprise, this drama. Again, one of the mini ones.
I doubt it, haha. The promotion of A Familiar Stranger is not as strong from MGTV and I think if you don't stumble…
However, Ryan Cheng is also a very fine man, with or without that shirt. Was actually thinking that the nice scene of them together, short drama or not, the makers didn’t cut that short. For us, the viewers.
This is like Sherlock Holmes and his Doctor Watson. Su Wu Ming and Lu Ling Feng. Perfect.
Almost no romance. 16 episodes in and pretty much zero. There is one woman around and she contributes positively to solving cases. We know she is in love with the general, and probably they will end up together , but the whole story is not about them. Anyway, for me yet another positive surprise this year by iQiyi.
Ok, but Rong Hao? What a sad villain story, and what an ending for him! Loved it, the actor is very good, hope…
If you check out his filmography here on MDL you’ll find that he has been main lead quite some time, and in quality productions (I’ve seen only Lost love in time and The Dark Lord only, before his support role in Dream of splendour earlier this year, but he is a versatile actor who always gets the more multifaceted personality roles). Enjoy :).
I like this a lot; new episodes work like a small magic dosis of lightness at the end of a working day. Nothing earthshaking, but pleasant. I didn’t know the ML, he has baring and is handsome, that’s it. But her, what a lovely appearance! I thought to have seen her only as maid of the FL in The Eternal Love, but than someone here reminded us that she is the FL in Accidental Love. And that was in fact my first cdrama, some years back browsing US Netflix in a hotelroom during duty travel, stumbled upon that and thought, huh? Chinese drama? Never seen one. Now rewatching that, and rediscovering this great woman. I hope she gets more high profile roles, she is far more convincing than some other ones. Anyway, just my opinion, peace.

Nice list! And about the first one. It always amazed me that the very first time we (as spectators) get to meet the Moon Supreme, is at his weakest. And how that doesn’t matter, as it doesn’t diminish his strong aura any time after. Just thinking out loud.
