They have introduced a lot of new characters in comparison so I'm betting they won't go completely that route, even if they will then I feel the depth they're already providing to the story won't be indigestible.
Brave stories like that of Ko Ryeon should be celebrated and not brutally dumped. It breaks my heart to see pure love shatter because of the judgmental society. Be true to yourself it does NOT matter what others think!
