They gave me everything...fancy club and animated phoenixes...
The phoenixes killed me! It took me a minute, because my first thought was oh, wow, glowing birds πŸ˜… I do wonder if they're real, though. Ava's province is super high tech, so I'm wondering if they were holograms or something like that πŸ€”

It's so funny how they left Calvin behind seeing how much this guy was drinking a total new drink to him.. like…
I literally called out loud, "Where's Calvin?!" as they were leaving. Like, come on, y'all πŸ˜…

Oh, c'mon... the directors and writers of this drama were sleeping during their "how to build a good plot" lessons?I'm…
I agree with everything you said, minus the paintings part lol. I mean, no, they're not masterpieces by any means, but generally speaking the production of the artworks has felt very natural to me. The darker more sultry type paintings in the dark pub where Charan has been meeting his friend about the investigation? Perfect match to the scene. The lighter paintings of mostly landscapes and flowers being in the big open spaces like the classroom and Charan's living room? Perfect backdrop and side scapes for the scene. The duality of the conversation between the king and Charan about the constellation? Masterful showcase of the differing points of views of the two discussing it - that subtle but not so subtle way to explain the king seeing the impossibility but Charan seeing the romanticism? Ugh, I love it so much. Also, the quality of the canvas. Oh. Mah. Gawd. So many thousand steps up from other productions I've seen. Namely "We Are" where, despite being art students, they toss their canvases in the back seats of cars, and move massive wet paintings around like it was in any way a good idea, and leaving full art sets of paints and brushes and tools sitting out in the open in a common area, and the absolute worst stretched canvas I have ever seen outside a dollar store but is supposed to be gallery worthy submissions. Me, my artist heart, and my art school background cringed so hard. So maybe that's why this show's art has been so refreshing lol. They actually did a good job with the canvas and tools. (Minus the time we saw Paytai painting and the light was *behind* the canvas, and he was painting over a large antique rug, and no one ever seems to wear smocks/aprons/coveralls lol.) But, to me, those are minor compared to "We Are." So I, personally, have enjoyed the art in this show. It's not my style to purchase or anything, but I appreciate - so much - the production crew paying attention to style changes and colors for different locations.

Genuine question: Why wouldn't Prince Wasin have ever found a way to have an heir after his consort passed away? Like, everything in Emmalian tradition is through the heir winning the throne for the parent, which he obviously knows, so why did he never remarry? It's been weirdly bothering me. I get the feeling he's the sneakiest of all of them for some reason. Rachata is obviously awful, but Wasin is almost always smiling and convivial. He just seems way more sus to me than anyone else.

I'm sure you guys will talk about the characters in the series a lot so here's me with another topic after the…
I've been so impressed with the art as well! There was one in the pub last week that I had to pause the show just to admire ❀️ I am not as familiar with names and artists, however lol.

Though, I rolled my eyes so hard when they showed Paytai painting with the light *behind* the canvas and a fancy antique rug *under* the canvas πŸ™„ No actual artist is going to paint that way. And still wearing clean, crisp clothes without any sort of smock or apron? Come on. My art school days are mocking that whole set up so hard πŸ˜…

*sigh* after watching Fourever You, Johan and North were one of my favorite on screen couples of the last few…
I can absolutely see where you're coming from, but for me I think it had to do with who wrote the series and who wrote the special. The series had two screenwriters using the novels as a base and building from there. The special had the actual author of the novel as the screenwriter, and the author wrote North (and Ter and Phoon and Dao πŸ™„) in a very domestically "housewife" kind of way after they move in together (North even attempts to teach Daotok to cook in Arthit and Daotok's novel because Arthit wants his "wife" to cook for him because all his friends wives cook for them πŸ˜‘). Which also bothers me when authors/writers use out dated hetero normative gender stereotypes for same sex couples, but that's a debate/discussion I'm not awake enough to delve into right now lol. All that to say, given how the author wrote North in the books, it was not surprising to me to see him portrayed that way in the special. Irksome, yes. Surprising, not so much. I'm holding out hope the next season will maintain the same faithfulness of plot (while toning down the gender roles) to the novels the first season did, because FahPhoon are my favorites, so I shall keep fingers and toes crossed the author does not write the screenplay for season 2.

Exactly what I wanted to say lol! It's so far off it's hilarious πŸ˜‚ I honestly thought there going to be like…
Germany was my first thought based on that one shot of the snow and birds because of the architecture! Then I wondered maybe Norway/Sweden since they go there in the book. But nope 🀦

can someone tell what movie they were watching when they went camping please
It's episode 3 of Between Us when Team gets super drunk with the ABC gang and Win shows up and takes Team home. I thought it was when I first heard it, and then I went back and watched the scene just to confirm πŸ˜‚

That's exactly what I was thinking lol. All their fathers are probably gonna get heart attacks lmao
No one is saying we are...? I'm just saying that for same sex couples, surrogacy is the option for biological children. I have multiple friends who have done so themselves. Also, it's a TV show. About fake people. And a fake country. If you saw it as anything other than banter about a pretend situation, that's your perception, not my intention.

what’s with the soft focus filter on zee, is that in his contract?
The soft focus is everywhere, but particularly obvious on Zee, yes! There's a blurring all over the backgrounds, and even some foregrounds, when the shot is close up. I don't understand why.

So in true Thai BL fashion, I expect there to be many BL or GL couples, but they're really going to say that entire generation said, "Nope, no hetero for me." I mean, I'm not opposed at all, I just find it amusing; Khanin and Charan, Ramil and Paytai, Ava and Mira, and Calvin and Jay.

Does anyone know the age gap between Khanin and Charan? We know that Khanin is 22, and Charan is appointed as…
I just assumed it was close to the age gap between Zee and NuNew - around 9 years, maybe 10. That would give the believability to him being a professor, at least. A young professor, but at least old enough.

He really just said, nope, I want to so I'm gonna πŸ˜‚

Does the blurring of all things other than faces bother anyone else? Cause it's driving me crazy. I don't understand why it's necessary. I mean, I understand softening edges to try to keep an air of fancy/lavish/wealth, blah blah blah. But this is not soft. It's full blur. I keep thinking there's something on my glasses.

I'm thoroughly enjoying this, but it kills me with giggles every time I see the crest with all 4 families represented because it straight up loos like the Hogwarts crest with the 4 houses lol. Colors match and everything πŸ˜‚

guys is this worth it??
I think so. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I like that it incorporated mystical elements without going overboard about it. There are a few small plot holes, but no more than any other show. Daou and Offroad do a really good job, not just with their chemistry, but also with angst and doubts and such. My only real critique would be that the "villain" wasn't done super well and felt a bit inconsistent. Again, to me. But overall, I really like this show, and do recommend it.

Title Your Sky
this is the first thai bl that i've watched, and im disapointed lmaooo the TEERUK guy had the most atrocious acting…
Oof, this being your first Thai BL is an awkward start for sure. It's a specific kind of campy fluff - like, literally fluff for the sake of fluff and not much else. I enjoy it because I've watched numerous Thai shows, and this is genuinely a genre type that is somewhat common, but definitely not everyone's cup of tea. So for the acting, I would say it's more specifically tailored to the genre than bad, at least to me. However, Kong is a new actor and I agree, does have some growing to do.

My personal Thai favorites are Last Twilight, Between Us, ThamePo, Perfect 10 Liners, The Eclipse, Not Me, and Moonlight Chicken. There's also KBL Love for Love's Sake and Secret Relationships, JBL I Can Hear the Sunspot and Takarakun to Amagikun, and Taiwanese BL See Your Love and Kiseki: Dear to Me.
