I am officially addicted. I kind of knew I would be, but it's official official now lol. The way Thame and Po stare at each other, ohmigosh. They might as well have an audible click whenever their eyes meet.
An interesting thing I noticed about William this episode - he doesn't stand still. He sways a bit when he stands. As if he's always hearing music that he can't help but move to. Est stands still, William sways.
Also I need William to play First's brother some day because they look so much alike while William plays Thame!
I really enjoy this show. It's soft and fluffy and makes me smile. I think it will be a better binge watch in the end, because having to wait in between makes it feel more strung out. A lot of people are complaining about how long the HillTer story line is, but if we were watching it all back to back, I don't think it would feel quite so stretched thin. Then again, I tend to prefer binging in general, so I'm a bit biased lol
I love that the show Rak's grandfather was watching and in the background at Fah's were both Naughty Babe and Fah's nickname for Rak is Naughty Baby. I see what you did there 😏
The wind blowing sound effect when Po realized he was the only one of the trio without a partner had me cackling! And then him pretending to have 2 girls on his arms after the others were picked up was the icing in the cake. Poor Po - always getting left out lmao
So in rewatching the first episode, I have a theory that either Mick or Pemika is going to be the reason Thame was offered the job in Korea. As in, sent an audition tape kind of thing without Thame's permission or knowledge. I'm leaning toward Mick since he doesn't seem to give a crap about his job and could be expecting some sort of cushy check or position from the Korean company, but maybe Pemika because the way she looks at and caters to Thame gives off possessive vibes to me for some reason. I just feel money is going to be behind it in some fashion. Either way, there's definitely more to why he said yes to leaving the group since he made it obvious he is in pain and regretting the decision. Just a thought 😉
Also, I took for granted that I know and understand the term "sasaeng," but I'm wondering if there were people who have no clue what it means lol. There's definitely some deep crossover between being into KPop and falling into BL 😅
I can already tell this series is gonna have my whole heart. This was an excellent start to the show, and it's gonna be an emotional rollercoaster for sure. Est and William have *amazing* chemistry already!
I'm also a huge sucker for William's song, Last Twilight, so I was grinning like crazy when he started singing it 😁
This show, more than most others for me, goes so quickly! Each episode I am surprised it's already over, and then bummed because I have to wait another week for the next one. I see a lot of people complaining about it not moving fast enough or back tracking too much, but I actually think the pacing works for story and the characters - it's just annoying to have to wait for the next episode because we're all so invested. This show will make an excellent binge once it's all aired, though.
I honestly can't decide if I actually like this or not lol. It's campy as hell, which doesn't bother me and I usually enjoy it, but there's something awkward that I can't pinpoint. Other than the obvious awkward of clothespins and Magic Mike dances and drunken BDSM, of course 😂 I need plot to pick up a bit more so I'm not just watching for the actors I enjoy, but for the actual storytelling of the show, too.
I have a confession to make. I watched ForceBook in all their work to date, Never been a fan but in this series,…
Honestly, same! The only other thing I've seen them in that I actually enjoyed were their guest spots in "Peaceful Property." But this one finally seems to hit the right notes in my head for them.
When is Johan going to stop being a jerk to North and actually do something to endear himself to him? Are we supposed…
I'm actually excited to see Ton as a villain-esque type and his range as an actor. I haven't seen everything he's been in, but what I have seen (prior to this show) has been just "eh" for me, so I'm glad he'll be able to expand his acting chops.
This episode felt a little filler-ish. Not bad, but not much going on. Though, Johan's inability to not smile around North is cracking me up. And I was not expecting to see Ton as a potential villain in next week's preview!
This show kinda rocks ngl. Joong's acting makes some of the messier stuff come together, I like his character…
I don't think Kant would necessarily cheer for himself at this point. He's backed into a corner with his personal record and the future of his little brothers care on the line. He didn't want to take the mission, but was coerced to do so. And maybe Bison deserves better than the manipulation, but he's also a murderer... So they kind of balance each other out in the slime factor for me.
Yes, that was hilarious! Not sure how they call that a "dance floor," though. 😉😄
Oh, I know suspension of disbelief is a thing with all film and TV, but I've come to the conclusion that Thai BL requires multiple suspensions, not just one lol. But me and my delulu are here for every bit of it
Dunk in all the crop tops and First in grandma rhinestone glasses with a gold chain is sending me! This show is goofy in the best way so far lol. The dance scene was cheesy as hell and I loved it!
Sand and Po moving the whole ass table to eavesdrop is a whole mood and I'm here for it 😂 Also, I'm genuinely glad they're giving Arm more depth with his back story, he's been a little flat to me, so this was refreshing.
Can I just say how refreshing it is to have the series *not* set in college/school? Like, they are adults in an adult world - finally! And I know this is early to say, but so far it feels like it has a decent mix of serious and goofy - Kant being pressured by police, but then Style dancing like a goober. Bison and Fadel murdering somebody, but then Fadel dragging Style out by his feet. Hopefully, that combo will continue 🙏
I know the writing has gone haywire left and right, but for the most part I still find it enjoyable. Is it over the top insanity in the plans and the "that-ring-makes-the-wearer-omnipotent" aspects? Absolutely. Do Yin and War and their respective performances make up for it? To me, yes. Also, Grandma for all the wins. Can I please be adopted by her as well?! I don't think any show is perfect - especially in the BL world - but I am still hooked to this one and will wait impatiently for the finale. We better get a happy ending, complete with Toi Ting and Grandma as part of the happy home. And hopefully Boss and Carbon turned to dust...
Grandma is the best JackJoke shipper and I'm totally here for it! Her basically manipulating them into sleeping in the bed together and then grinning in her own bed as she eavesdrop (again!)? Perfection lmao.
Also, I'm curious if the red J with the heart under it on Joke's shoulder will ever be addressed as an homage to Jack and if Jack will ever friggin' notice lol. Like, it's totally about Jack, but it's like Jack hasn't noticed despite Joke's shoulder being in full view right in front of him on multiple occasions!
