This movie has just come on to Gagaoolala's internet service, and I enjoyed it. The story is interesting and the concept of following the two guys over four years (one day each year) is intriguing. I do agree with the previous poster that there was just toooooo much in the way of long lingering photography of non-dramatic moments. Makes it seem like the lives of these two guys just drags and drags. If you can stand that "artsy" approach, I think this is worth watching. And whatever you do, if you start investing the time to watch it, don't drop it before the end.

I gather that this "seme" and "uke" terminology comes from the theology of Japanese manga BLs. People seem to translate "uke" as "bottom" but I don't think that is necessarily a good rendition of the meaning. Regardless, I think trying to apply that formula to non-Japanese and non-Manga productions makes no sense and I agree with you that trying to imagine such constructs in a Pinoy BL where nobody actually involved in the production had them in mind is a ridiculous exercise.

As far as I can see this series is dead in the water. Ep 4 has been out for weeks, but still has no subtitles. No sign of any episodes after that. I think we can close the book on this one.....

It's so true. The story exposition and character development are superb. And yet......there are still some secrets we don't know, and that makes me excited for the last couple of episodes.

Wow, after the 4th Ep I'm ready to declare this the best Pinoy series of the year so far!! The acting is top-level and the emotional quotient has gone wayyyyyy up in this episode. Yves is making JM a relatable (even sympathetic) character as he slowly gives in, little by little, to the growing feelings about Reb. And Iyo's portrayal of Reb is such that we ALL want to hug him. The character development here is at a steady, moderate and believable pace. And the mask-removal scene (which -- brilliant insight just came to me -- is the source of this ep's title) was brilliantly executed.

It is intriguing to see the way creators are using mask-removal scenes as a romantic focus. (It was the same in Gameboys.) An intimate act that none of us could have imagined a couple of years ago would be such a dramatic element. It is sad sad sad that such drama continues to be so relevant. Of course, the other background to this ep is its focus on the pandemic, and on the continuing human cost it is exacting in places like the Philippines. People who live in other more fortunate parts of the world may not appreciate the degree to which it still affects every aspect of life, looming like an implacably angry deity over life....and death.

technically no, im from hong kong which is the country produced ossans love love or dead, they obviously have…
Welcome to the world of Hong Kong movies and video. Cantonese and Mandarin are two different sinitic languages. They share a common writing system (or they did, until the mainland introduced simplified characters.) They are not mutually comprehensible, unless and until somebody writes down the pictographic characters. That is why they sound so different.

I liked Episode 5, not only because it's another shirtless galore episode, lol, but more so because the scenes…
But where is this thing going? There's still no plot line, other than "all these people ended up in a resort together." Alex is clearly developing feelings for someone, out of thin air apparently. It doesn't hang together yet, and there's only 3 episodes to go!

I'm really enjoying this series. The actors are very good indeed and they are playing well the changes we can see happening in the characters. The script has moments of sounding too pretentious, but it's trying to address some real-world feelings beyond the usual BL fluff. The technical/production aspects are good. (It has a similar feel to its predecessor, Quaranthings, in that it is (at least so far -- Ep 3) about two guys trapped in a flat, and all the action so far takes place within the flat.)

As to some previous comments about excessive drag-queenery.......that was one sequence in the first episode only and certainly has been washed over by the action (and the serious development of that character's personality) that has followed. Reb is neither effeminate nor a drag queen (at all!) in the key parts of the story -- he's a sweet but insecure guy -- and the story of his relationship with JM is the interesting part of the series.

So, for anyone who's interested in the background to this disaster, here's a note posted by Star Image Digital on YouTube: "Serpiente BL Series was shot last December 2020 and we still have some audio problems back then. And some video files have been corrupted by ransomware. We managed to retrieve some scenes and did our best to end the story. Our sincere apologies to everyone."

Hehehehe.......well, I managed to drag my focus up far enough to conclude that yah, there is a bit of Chinese-ness in his eyes. I did focus on his (rather erotic) smiles, too.....Prince really does like Nico! (Waiting for the subs now, to understand the story....)

Ep 4 starts with Migo shirtless. What's not to like? But after that it does kinda wander into some strange turf, with odd personal interactions. (Even Gino at one point thinks/says: "Why is he suddenly being so nice to me?" Nobody knows.) At the end, new character Derrick is introduced, and the upcoming highlights for Ep 5 makes it clear that everybody's shirts are gonna come off. This definitely qualifies as light entertainment, but I have to say that I now have a Pavlovian response, and as soon as I hear the theme music plucking away, I start smiling. Nothin' wrong with that.....
