I was glued to the screen and binged in a few days

I'm not going to summarize the story. Other reviewers have already done this. I've watched up to episode 34 in a few days. I found myself glued to the screen. Now, that I've caught up, I can't wait for the last 6 episodes that air in a few days.

I love the cast:

Xu Kai Cheng's emotional swings in the beginning totally fit his heart break. As time passes, he has character growth and heals. He has great facial expressions to go with the scenes. When he chooses to move forward, I enjoy his relationship with Chen Xiao Yun's character. After watching the teasers for the remaining episodes, I'm curious how his relationship with change with Yang Mi's character. Side note: I enjoyed him in other dramas, too.

Yang Mi hits the mark with each scene and each stage of her character's life. If you like strong, capable, smart, witty, fun female characters that can hold their own (while appreciating it when the ML has their back), you'll likely like this one, too. I also enjoyed watching her in other dramas.

William Chan: Though he looks familiar, after looking at his other titles, I'm pretty sure that this is my first time seeing him. As they say in the drama, his character does a great job hiding his emotions. This, in part, helps prevent the viewer from guessing the next event before it happens. I don't like shows that are completely predictable.

I won't review every cast member/character. They're all valuable to the story. They did a great job adding to the story and weaving in and out of the lead characters' lives. If you watched any of the drama yet, you'll see that some of the actors play multiple characters in the drama. They did a great job acting with different personalities so it was easy to see the difference.

This story moves along and keeps you on the edge of your seat, most of the time. There was a time somewhere around episode 31-33 when the ML was again having flashbacks about the FL. While those give us insights into what the character was thinking about at the time, I was impatiently waiting for the next event.

This is my first Novoland experience and I enjoyed it. I will likely rewatch this drama, though the ending was definitely different than what I expected. Not exactly a very happy ending, but definitely not the sad ending I thought it would be either.

Perfect for a night of laughter

As my name implies, this is not my typical genre, but it didn't disappoint. To keep it short, b/c there isn't much to add to the other reviews, it was so ridiculous I was laughing often and sometimes very hard. In some scenes, it was easy to be concerned and a range of other emotions for some of the characters, even a zombie or two. So, I'd say the acting was well done.

Let's just say it's silly, Karma bites, and it still had a good ending. I think it's best to watch it in a watch party or with friends for the most enjoyment. I may watch it again, I'm not sure. I'll make sure it's with others who have a good sense of humor and are in the mood to laugh.

Perfect for a busy week

This week was busier than previous weeks, so watching these bite sized episodes were perfect. But, I have to warn you, you may be wanting to watch just one more episode.

Though the eps are bite sized, I didn't think it felt rushed. The story moved and left me wondering how and when will the leads get together. What mysteries will they solve, if any.

I enjoyed the acting and costumes. I like strong FL that are independent, strong, and can defend themselves. I got that. I like it when she's not pining after the ML and has her own interests and dreams. I like it wgen the ML doesn't go for the "typical" girl that depends on him and lives to get his attention.

I really didn't pay much attention to the music except for during the credits. I enjoyed listening to it.

If you watch it on Tencent/WeTV, you'll have both English and Chinese subs. I love having both since I'm studying Chinese.

I've seen other dramas where the FL was sucked into the book she authored [or is still wtiting] or edited. Though she knows a lot about the chain of events and characters, one of the characters is there to prevent her from avoiding certain main events. She finds this out just after she successfully avoided a certain event from happening. It was fun seeing her try to force the event to happen.

It is a lighter, fun drama, which is what I wanted after watching Bloody Romance, Princess Silver, The Wolf, and Scarlet Heart. Like I said before, it was perfect for when I had 15-30 minutes.

Fun and enjoyable

I really liked the dynamics between the ML and FL. They were fun, spontaneous, and had each others' backs. The other reviews captured a lot of what I thought about saying.

The final BIG incident was rather interesting. I didn't think it would be the last time they saw each other. I assumed that when she went to the music festival and saw his poster, she'd try to look him up to say, "hi!" and maybe having lunch before the movie was over. Not the case.

At least we got to see them both at the end, even if they didn't interact with each other.
