Idk why this didn't worked for me bcs I liked other drama by the same director which aired in 2026. I had high expectations for this one too but it's just Song Mo that I liked all the other characters I didn't like at all and didn't care for what happened to them. I liked FL in The Untamed but here for me it seemed she just acts the same and was annoyed most of the time with her. If you want another great drama currently airing The first jasmine is another one that I really enjoy so far. Probably script and casting for other characters was off for me.
This series and the other currently airing series ( both having the same supporting actor, bet you know which one ) are two of the best of 2026 for me. I didn't expect that at all. They are not without flaws but in the end there is strong bond with all the characters and story. Also, they have high rewach value for me. Like warm emotional blanket. This is just my own opinion and preference. So, despite flaws they are already 10/10 for me because I rarely want to rewatch cdrama.

No, it's barely watchable. everything looks cheap, chemistry non existent, story plot is nothing new, execution is far worse than similar plot dramas before ( I will not name any other dramas by name) You can watch and enjoy if you're fan of any of the actors or have spare time like me per example. There were far better dramas released since January 2026 in my opinion. But that is just my opinion so try first few episodes and see for yourself.
So far, ( watched up to episode 7) it's barely watchable. Honestly, watching more bcs of boredom then enjoying it. I even cringe at same scenes and dialogues. It has still lot more episodes till the end and I may change my opinion but nothing is good. Plot, cinematography, acting, chemistry costumes 😭 I feel sorry for the actors, they deserved better project. And we audience too

I get what you mean ( she did reminded me a little of Ren Ruyi from A journey to love ( idk did you watch that series) indeed more like trained killing machine with emotional trauma or something. But she will have some character development, you are early in the series. I also enjoyed ML here. I finished series and started POJ ( my 2nd attempt) Although I'm Linghe fan I feel like they watered his character from the novel..currently on episode 14 and barely pushing. There are lot more series that I'm dropping these days so FH was satisfying watch even with its flaws. I hope you will enjoy it too despite FL.

she is against sacrificing civilians but doesn't mind fighting enemy army on the battlefield and plot of Jingshi and Murong Yao was exactly that ( to trap Suige and his army inside the city and fight would cost large massacre of the civilians ) At least that is what I understood, someone correct me if I'm wrong. But anyway, not the first or last drama that I watched that has some loopholes, even the most praised ones had them
Very good. First half bcs of the main couple story and second saved by the crazy Jinxiu Emperor role. Ofc it has some classic cdrama rolling eyes moments but after couple of last few dramas that I started and dropped in the middle this was satisfying to watch.
I'm reading this novel and 2/3 in it I realised this is really great casting. Actors for every character looks like I had them in my mind. I loved Hongyi and Tan Jianci before but didn't know actor for Chang geng before. Now I'm watching Fated hearts and I think he suits the role perfectly. But what good is thinking about that now, can only crying bcs I will probably never see this series airing.
