The story was filled with too much tragedy it almost gave me indigestion. It's so hard to wish for a positive outcome. But this one had a "happy ending" but why didn't it make me happy?
The first part was ok. Filled with lots of fight scenes and intriguing plots. First, the ML's back story, how he ended up with a weak body. All in the name of duty made by his own father.
Then there's ghost boy, a very lethal martial artist. He looks like a menacing boy because he was poisoned somehow when he was about to marry the love of his life. He became a killing beast to all. Until he met the ML who helped him get back to his true self and to his love, but only to die in her arms.
Then came all the unreasonable subplots like
Zhu Yan's tragic life. He was a son of a clan leader who refused to acknowledged him until the very end in name of "duty".
Or the FL's immovable loyalty to her master. She devoted her whole life to help him heal. All be damned, she just want her master to be ok. Again in the name of "duty".
It just feels like everything's redundant.
The title should've been Love in Between Duty or Love in Between Fighting or maybe it should've been just In The Name of Duty.
