My drama journey  began in 2021, at the same time as I started learning Chinese. I have since passed HSK5 and would like to at least pretend that my drama watching has had a strong contribution to that.

My favourite genres are Xianxia/Xuanhuan and Wuxia, as well as Historical dramas.
Intrigue and Scheming! Actually smart and witty characters! Mixed in with some Comedy and a nice Romance and it certainly has the basic ingredients of a perfect drama for me.

What I can’t stand are overly whiny, dumb characters that are portrayed as super strong or likeable. Please make it make sense!

All my ratings are purely based on my subjective enjoyment of a drama. Although I’d personally say that I have quite good taste and I’m a pretty picky watcher in general, my preferences do not always 100% align with the general consensus.

All my completed dramas are 6 ✨ or above - with everything 8 ✨ or above being a strong recommendation - since I do not believe in suffering through a bad drama just to be able to say I completed it. All the dramas I truly disliked were dropped. 10✨ are for the dramas that that left a lasting impression on me and will forever hold a special place in my heart.
