Favorite Vertical CDrama to date

Have watched about 20 past year and gave up... fell in to this one by accident and disclovered ML. Fell in love with both characters and will also check out FL's other work. Best written by far, and acted, after watching 4 more of his vert's (given unique looks and acting ability. This is the only one of his I'm rating so far as stands out: stories not that unique for C/K dramas but the story details are and for vert., such as how one event changed ML's life course, and there are more supporting characters that usual and they are filled out not bland or charactures. Liked the mutual respect aspect and humor too and that FL had her own life, career, after arranged marriage, and was not years younger waif (exact never shared). Story would be rated higher if had a few flashbacks of one hour pre-wedding meeting and/or initial moving in period.

Rare feel good Cdrama

Watching was my daily 2 episode happy place: assume best for those thirty and older. A second season is in order as there is a lot of gold to mine as they date and perhaps marry. There was good lead chemistry built on very slow burn and modest enemy to ... trope. I enjoyed all the supporting characters, the filming quality/locations, and the humor. Only change would be to NOT have Xia Xiao Man "like' ML. Since I have only been watching K/C/Taiwan dramas about a year this was my first Wallance Huo and less know but equally entertaining Zhu Zhu. I have to admit I'm still dismayed about C Drama dubbing as occasionally the actual actor/actress does their own voice but know it's rare. It would be nice if every drama had to list the VA's too.

Glad Allowed out of Cold Storage

Watched due simultaneously with First Jasmine: two offset each other well. Like other reviewers shared, didn't need the third couple/his family at all - would have preferred more dating time to replace. My first time watching Tan Jian Ci who won me over despite my initial chemistry skepticism (height/frame compared to FL). Speaking of Wang Churan I watched out of curiosity as didn't care for her toxic FL character in Fireworks of My Heart nor I Dare You story (lasted 2 episodes but did watch all FOMH as Yang Yang and BinBin fan). Despite AI face swap glad this drama funally released and wish C would end policy that is bad for cast, crew, investors, AND viewers.

Glad ignored reviews

Took a chance as needed bindge watch this rainy weekend. Unique story well laid out and not rushed so characters reflected real people. Thought number of episodes sufficient, through main couple ending too open ended, when more time could have come from other couples' filler time. Another first time ML: attractive non-cookie cutter looks and larger frame realistic for physical work performing. Enjoyed his performance as a stoic cold character caused by event not childhood or prior romance related. FL fine and had adequate chemistry with him but would have liked more romantic scenes and having some go beyond HS dating equivilent. Didn't care for how character treated her father and/or not fully explained/resolved before she did 360 near end. Would have preferred if didn't imply parents might get back together.

Sleeper Surprise

Sleeper 26 surprise as I muddled through Art of Sarah and disliked FL's character. First time watching ML and thought he nailed it, had great chemistry with FL, and synergy/timing with other cast members. Wish there had been less time devoted to second leads and two more episodes to provide more time jump details and show their current life at end. One of the rare weekly series looked forward to among the 2-4 watching at any one time.

Favorite Noona Drama - Followup Movie would be nice

Watched earlier this year and one of the few I have rewatched couple of times (continue to find things I missed). Realize late review as FYS was released in 20/filmed 19. I d'ont get all the negative reviews about Victoria Song's acting nor the 11.5 age difference given the noona story. Nor the lower rating that than "The Rational Life" 8.2 (comments also less negative about the lead, who I like, who is 20 years older in real life and played about 10 years younger). Whereas VS played her own age and Song Wei Long played older but convincingly). I enjoyed the relationship, chemistry, and skinship in FYS... made sense as FL was emotionally much younger than chronogical age). Whereas with TRL low chemistry, family was toxic mother and his likable mom... vs FYS He family (enjoyed her twin though his final GF not believable), and FL didn't have long term friendships like Fan Xing in FYS. The RL had much fewer filming locations, humor, only one family relationship that was toxic, one or two quick kisses, and a happy ending that probably won't last. Not going to happen but would love a FYS sequel movie showing two leads married... PS been using this site for year and finally did first review today :)

Best surprise since Love Between The Lines...

Normally wait until complete to review but initial now due to the FL haters who appear to be rating and/or commenting without watching - #1 complaint about voice.* It's ironic to me as simultateously wating Love For You with Zhang Jing Yi who I've not watched before: acting verdict on hold but dubbed voice has me considering dropping as so monitone. Admire Esther's work ethic as dubs many/most dramas.

Brings us back to Esther - like not love her but admire varied choice of scripts, social media presence, and her acting that continues to improve since first watched in Find Yourself. Already had discovered ML; look forward to his upcoming modenr dramas (Touch Me Like You Lied and Purple Dalia). Will update review about story etc. after finale. *Loved Speed and Love but Ski Into Love challenging due to childish voice
