Compared to the 2 leads in Love For You, Flora and Luke are well adjusted, at least by the time reunite after 4 years (novel 3). Censoring 25% of drama totally removed both characters day to day realty apart glossing over the emotional pain and FL’s relocation and business challenges. LFY 2 leads barely grew at all after 6 years or after but there was hardly any comment discussion admitting (or R dysfunction).

Have Netflix this month and YOUKU intl annual subscription BUT was not paying express too for last 3. So gave in and watched on K. Will rate 9.5 due to 25% episode cut (having read novel). Otherwise 10. Given this drama's popularity, time for IQIYI to release Touch Me Like You Lied… filmed before TES.

Classy adjective as mine would be short changed if not stronger words having read novel and been waiting to view since filming.

And my two favorite male lead voices (real that both use in most of their dramas - Yang Yang too though more gentle cadence).

Having read the novel, I would still rather have all 32, as this Director intended. Netflix please buy the rights to uncensored for international viewing (if not forbidden by... too. Director's last release N production in Taiwan so not constrained but realize bigger budgets in C).

Post novel read, met my expectations other than 25% censor cuts, none justified other than baked in C morality ever stricter standard (1-2 eps). Two 26 fav healthy relationships to me are Love Between The Lines and The Road to Success (less emphasis than LBTL). Biggest 26 modern disappointment Love For You.

I’m fairly certain that this director, given prior dramas, did novel justice in 32 episodes, before 25% erased. Hope he considers doing another Netflix production, like last, so he has more control.

32 = 25% otherwise probably would have been my first 10 rating (even after reading novel). Meanwhile My Queen My Rules gets 30 so when I compare at face value* it appears censorship very subjective (humans are so another reason to not…) * didn’t read

Finished novel by episode 10 so knew us readers would feel short changed as 25% of drama censored out. Given amount it appears they function as story editors in addition to morality. Based on the directors last 2 part Netflix drama filmed in Taiwan, sad to miss the drama he envisioned.

JBR's voice is what sets him apart for me among many great actors in 30s (also handsome etc.). He used own in last 3 dramas too. After started watching Cdramas in 24 was not aware of voice actors until read about Wang Xing Yue being one of view using his own in The Double.

Due to censors as Youku* paid for 32 episodes but we get 24. First time I've watched Cdrama and felt cheated before it's over based on book that is detailed and long - about to start it - my first translated ever. Been waiting for this drama since filmed when was on few radar screens :) *Perhaps they save money trimming after wrap due to liscensing but seems counter intuitive.

Perhaps Lu Yu Xiao who has more range. ZJY was big disappointment as first time viewer in Love For You. So was the drama despite being ML fan since Find Yourself. Glad this story was not censored to G romance/intimacy too. Thanks to Seven for Wang Kai intro (sorry for edit).

Less chemistry in SSR although like FL best of 3 and just few quick kisses and G rated bed scenes. To be fair he plays buttoned up man with trauma history.

Indeed another hidden gem in Youku vault. Will be my first time watching ML and curious if will stick to written version ending.

FL very good but I’m older so prefer more mature FL characters. There are 2 Chen Jing Ke “adult” dramas looking forward to. Other filmed before PD; Touch Me Like You Lied with Elvira Chi.

Only other actress in c ast whose probably kissed him before... Regeneration.

Find Yourselfn (noona), The Double (historical), The Road to Success (second chances 2 leads and HS team), Love Between The Lines (modern romance), Perfect Match (single mother 5 daughter historical), You are My Glory (former schoolmates - usually hate - meet again about 30), Ten Years Late (favorite more soapy drama 3 couples).

This achievment should encourage YOUKU to release Purple Dalia which is supposed to be third quarter... but often like watching paint dry waiting. At least international app if not C (not sure if all go to both).
