Their were two pictures where one scene he was not present and the other scene he was present then he disappeared within few seconds. Even when he came to take the ring he said "that crazy bastard" it means he know someone is taking control over his body. My version is the first scene of saving her is spirit not person and the scene of taking ring is spirit within the person.
