Have you watched it with english subtitles?? Where, if I may ask???
Thanks for replying! Yeah, only the first season was subbed… I too watched the videos on jtbc’s youtube but the auto-translation is really tiring šŸ˜…, I haven’t seen any officially translated clips tho…?

On Sing Again Season 3 Mar 10, 2024
Is there anyone who knows where to watch Sing Again 3 with english subtitles!!!??? If yes, then please, please I beg you, share your knowledge! I got really, really excited to watch this program after the third season completed, but I can't find it with english subs anywhere (not on all sites I've been using to watch korean tv shows, and not in any other "hole" on the internet). I thought: maybe that is, because it has finished recently? So I planned to wait for the subtitles and ease my frustration by watching the second season (after all it had been aired two years ago) in the meantime... But there's no Sing Again 2 with english subtitles either!! And now, I'm just doubly frustrated and even more desperate to watch this show!

uhhh so Cha Eunwoo is the male lead but there’s no romance storyline between him and female lead (as seen from the promotion photos that she is/was probably married to Kim Kangwoo’s character), right? I think it would have been interesting to see him in more romantic relationship with such mature actress (especially in a drama with a more serious tone as this one), but I guess it’s seems that it’s going to be a good series to watch regardless

I am also someone who does not know this manga but I am a manga reader since Covid happen. Unlike you I think…
Maybe it does sound a little bit dumb or arrogant, I know it, as I already stated it's pretty superficial of me to voice my opinion like this.
I’m not that familiar with the director, I’m not sure if they’re good or not, and to be honest I don’t really care about it at this moment.
As for the cast, I don’t have a bigger problem with majority of these actors, and if they deal with all the height/appearance differences that would be great (as you said that may be fairly easy to deal with and I hadn't thought about that)! Still I don’t see Lee Minho in this role (based on his appearance and what I heard about the character), and I don’t believe that he’s going to to make a particularly good job in this movie (based on his other dramas that I’ve watched). He may prove me wrong, who knows?

One Piece is here because it’s a co-production. As far as I know none of what you listed is a co-production…
Thanks, I think they fit the characters very well but on that I kinda agree, some of the scenes are weirdly executed.

What’s with how Zoro and Usopp look?

I could engage in a discussion with you, especially as some of your concerns and opinion as a dedicated manga/anime fan make a lot of sense.
I get where you’re going from (I felt like that many times, with this and other adaptations) but I also feel like in some aspects you’re just determined to hate on this production.
However, I’m a little tired and I have other things to do now. So, this is it.
Thanks, though!

You may like them as actors, and they are good ones, but from what I see fans of the original comic are very disappointed…
Well, that’s a healthy approach. It’s true, after all, it’s safe to assume that they are working hard to prepare this movie, even if it doesn’t seem to meet certain standards. Still it’s good not to judge beforehand. Thanks

I really don’t see the issue with this show being on MDL (I guess that many users as drama/anime/manga enthusiasts were interested in it from the start) and it may be in huge part american production with many foreign actors, and it’s not exactly classic mdl vibe (also because of the actors but like, many characters in one piece are not Japanese (would not be if in real world) so idk what some people were expecting) but it’s still officially an adaptation of a Japanese manga after all.

Right, but it’s an adaptation, it has only eight episodes, not everything is possible to be recreated the same way like in the manga or anime
(and some times it the case with live action adaptations, that when they try too depict everything literally the same as the original, it’s either to stiff or seems kinda forced/takes away the opportunity created by having real actors on set, or it just doesn’t work out with all the other things that need to be considered while creating such project, and it’s okay. As long as it doesn’t violate the original too much or in a inappropriate way).
After all, this adaptation is actually very good if you compare it to some other manga adaptations (especially fantasy/supernatural kind). And it’s not perfect, maybe it is too shallow for a dedicated original manga fan (like you) but over all it’s not a bad work.
The amount of involvement Oda had in this series is, as you said not certain but definitely was there (as he approved it, and chose the actors),
and it’s not really possible to make everything exactly as it was (anime also isn’t, one to one, exact depiction of the manga, is it?), and of course some things had to be compromised, but that’s just the reality of making an adaptation.
I really don’t see the issue with this show being on MDL (I guess many users were interested in it from the start) and it may be in big part american production with many foreign actors (that in fact depict well the original characters) but it’s still officially an adaptation of a Japanese manga after all.
Sorry about grammatical mistakes if there are any.

Bcoz japan is involved in Co-production and Zoro's actor Makenyuu is also Japanese.Oda did half of their job.
Oda chose and approved the actor that plays Luffy…

Wtf... This is a Western series, not an Asian one. What's it doing here on MDL?!And before anyone screams ODA…
Idk more but I know Oda personally chose/approved the actor for Luffy

This looks amazing! LMH and AHSSilently screaming into a pillow. I can't wait to see these two onscreen.
You may like them as actors, and they are good ones, but from what I see fans of the original comic are very disappointed with LMH, and I can see why. They don’t really fit the characters… I mean AHS maybe does, he’s just bit too tall I guess…

I’m not the manga/comic reader, I’m not even interested in this story… but I saw the drawing of the characters, and oh man… even i, as a random person am a bit dissatisfied by some of the cast…. like there’s going to be NO height/buff difference between dokja and jonghyuck, moreover ahn hyoseop is little taller than lee minho - not to mention the latter really doesn’t give the vibe of the character he’s supposed to play…. (I know it’s kinda superficial reason to be mad but as I said, I don’t know the story or the characters well, so their looks is all I can voice my opinion about) .

Edit: for someone who knows almost nothing about this I got quite noisy here… might be not so very appropriate

I don’t think so, as it’s based on a real life person/event, but bromance probably yes
Well yes, I tried to research the actual guy and I didn’t found much besides the fact that he indeed wrote this book. So I don’t think he was gay, and if he were it might just be an undiscovered fact, I don’t want to assume. But I don’t really know.
